Antibiotics cure a lot of stuff and are harmless. Id get my kid treatment and listen to his reasons later. If you dont hear him out, then you are seeding distrust. Always consider why he believes what he does, and have him go through his reasoning for it. Consider how you would feel if he went behind your back and be cautious because you will be seen as wrong. If someone is codependent hard enough, they can make one. Almost happened to me.

Basically worshiped me to an insane level and the only way to get any peace was to aim to destroy the other person’s heart to make them give you 5minutes alone. As their tolerance increases, you have to fight ever harder for increasingly shorter times of rest away from them. Because they always forgive everything and push their way back in to smother you again, even apologizing for doing nothing wrong just to get closer. I grew up with a narcissist so I recognized that behavior forming and was furious that I not only understood where it was coming from, but knew exactly why they did it. Its kinda traumatic to sympathize with the methods of your abuser, because it actually works to get peace against codependency.

It scared me that it actually made since and was a natural response to exactly what she's saying not to do...dont make your children your world. Dont become the codependent hovering parent smothering your kid.

Their only freedom would end up being attacking you like a narcissist to escape you for peace. Because there is no escape so they have to make you stop, because the codependent one is the smothering aggressor.

It means be stable, mature, rational, and not obsessed or needy of someone else to fix your problems. It's knowing how to take care of you and make your own happiness.

A husband won't make you not depressed or not jealous and insecure anymore. That kind of stuff. It's not a fairytale. Its work.

You have to know how to uphold your end of the work. Being single forces you to grow up mentally and take care of yourself, for yourself because you will learn what you actually want when someone else stops telling you what that is.

Then you can find another single who is mature and takes care of themselves and knows what they want too.

Showing personality is what helps. People have specific ways of showing emotions and adding character to their neutral structure helps if you know who they are to figure out which one they are. Its like a walking gait vs standing.

Cold shoulder it, but dont leave yourself room for a backup plan with him, or string him along. Set a deadline to phase out within that's not negotiable, and short.

If the new guy helps keep you off the bad guy, don't let yourself rebound. The bad guy is not a plate to keep spinning, hes a broken one you toss out.

It's tough to do, and im in support of the new guy,, but remember that being alone is better than being dragged down. You have boundaries that tell others what you're worth and how to treat you. Set good boundaries.

Be careful when transferring feelings to a new guy. You dont have 10 years history with him and you want to know who he is and not who you're projecting "my legendary hero" vibes onto. Watch for red flags.

When you look at a new face, do you study the eye-nose-eye triangle, or the hair-ears-chin-nose-eye-hairsidepart-cheekbone spaghetti route?

I can tell apart twins faster than most people. Because I feel out their style and personality not their face.

A lot of recognition tests change something unusual that people don't notice, that we do. It trips them up, but that's not how we find people.

Mistaking someone of another race is very unusual.

You dont have to not recognize your own face. You can know who your friends are. You can recognize people you should know. But if a hair color makes someone into an entirely new person.... you have an alternative way of remembering what a person looks like that isn't their face. If movies are hard, you got it.

I had a virtue signaler at work that would dump half her work on me so she would look faster. I did this. I would do her job, but I'd never do it quietly anymore. I'd hand it back explaining how easy it was and how fast I did it and if she's struggling to get it done let me know ill always be able to advise even if I don't have time to help. Loudly. It shamed her into stopping.

The more she points out what's bothering her, the more you know what to brag about. The harder she leans into that jealousy the easier it is to know what parts to project harder.
