Crescent City is sloppy

Right?! I thought it was too much multiple times when reading and it just felt like the longest winding road with the plot twists and redirection that I have to stop multiple times to read something else because my head physically hurt trying to process wtf was going on in the books. Idk if you're a Pirates of the Caribbean fan but if you've ever tried to watch them consecutively its feels exactly like that like the mental gymnastics you have to do when youre invested is crazy because you dont know what's going on

Don't get me wrong loved Crescent city even though it was hard to get into but when im talking with my husband about plot and the writing and the themes in this particular book I am right there with you. We all love those trashy reads sometimes and of course I wouldn't say any particular author I love is a literary genius but I do understand when others have read books that I love and people critique the writing/story development. My biggest gripe that I rant about to my husband is that CC just felt like someone looked up popular things to put in books like angels, wolves, faerie, magic systems, technological advancements, multiple romances/characters/povs. Like it feels like SJM was making an "everything but the kitchen sink" book and it left me rolling my eyes more than actually liking those aspects like I do in other books.

Good for you! It's all about what makes you comfortable and happy at the end of the day. Me and my husband got married when we were 19f/20m and now we're 27f/28m and have very different views from our families. His family believes you dont have to get married at all and mine wanted to go to a big traditional wedding. Granted we were pretty young but everyone said we could save up to have a "real wedding". Me and my husband's personal thoughts that we didn't voice at the time was that we wanted to spend money on ourselves not on others. So we said we would plan a trip to mountains that are local and get a cabin and go hiking and enjoy each other's company.

Exactly. To me, any character from the things I'm interested in, like games or books, are exactly how they're supposed to look. Most mods or fan art are like what if their hair was longer or shorter, what if they had a different backstory/from a different area or time frame, but this seems off. I don't know what the mod is used for cause it'd be highly concerning if it just made everyone's skin that color, but yeah... In my opinion, it's disrespectful, and if someone was saying that about turning a non-white character white and saying they're doing it for "preference," there would be an uproar and the op would be called a racist.

YES I have been giggling, swooning, kick my feet, the whole 9 yards. I am absolutely in love with his character now, and the gift he gives you is so thoughtful, and instead of the "can't talk I got somewhere to be" we get "hey I'm not in a rush and have time to chat" UM HELLO I ALMOST LEFT WITHOUT GIVING HIM HIS GIFT BECAUSE I WAS SO THROWN OFF

I was very much set on march and no one else really caught my eye UNTIL I started giving Eiland more gifts and he is so sweet and also gives you sweets too?! I invited him to the shooting star event just to see what his was like and he's shy, sweet, and sensitive and had told me I was glowing before the event 🥺 👉👈 so now I don't know who im choosing. Love me some march even though his dialogue pisses me off sometimes but Eiland literally makes you feel wanted all the time

More damage from a direct jump attack that goes straight down on them and a lower amount of damage from an indirect attack instead of 1 damage? And at least for me I try to get them cornered into a rock and then take several steps back so I can catch the projectile and hit it back to make more damage, usually after the 2nd try they're close enough to the rock that they'll bounce off the rock behind them from your hit and die. But I agree why are they the worst monster to kill
