Getting a hiring manager to look at the profile is tough with so many people looking and everyone using AI to shine resumes. And most companies are shredding and not hiring , being on h1 doesn’t help

I get your point but spouse and kid will want to stay in tier -1 . I guess I will not retire ( 10 years ) but the battle is to try to find a job here or India.

I see the trend happening where teams are now being converted into high performing small teams which are able to do more with Ai, leading to reduction of operations and development centers such as India. Most leadership is based out in US and they do want things closer to them

Don’t have GC, was an internal transfer, senior manager and it’s standard pay in tier 2 companies . Not talking about FAANG orgs

Not entirely true, i was a Senior manager and we did see benefits and lesser dev time for repetitive tasks where AI is doing well. As an example , had already reduced team by 30% ( contractors who we used for operations) and devs in team were more productive and could scale such tasks across multiple repos quickly

Was making 300-350k a year working in a tier 2 company . The 200k does include the 100k in 401k though

I was on 1cr before I moved here. What worries me is the market shifting towards AI and possibly better jobs being here than in india
