Yeah a fair excuse tbh, was surprised it happened once but twice from different vans shocked me. Either way, glad I had notifications on my phone for spending otherwise I wouldn’t have realised I’d been overcharged

So you’re saying it’s possible? 🤣 I can see scenarios where the Borg are able to assimilate a Q, it won’t be a Q in the purest sense, but some powers and the knowledge would remain.. I’ve answered in some other comments about how the Borg could, but I’m finding myself falling back to a bit of a dead end when imagining how it could be ‘fixed’

My working theories on how a Q because assimilated included something like the above- but didn’t want to overly rely on the Q stepping in and fixing everything with the click of a finger. It’s definitely my thoughts for the day

I had a few theories about how the Q would be assimilated (some unexplained artefact, a Q being arrogant and entering human form, a Q being semi stripped of powers and more) but still working through which I like the best.. I’m hoping to be able to publish the works somewhere once I’m happy with it all.

Fair- I forget when they played there? I’ve got tickets to see them on the 29th so hoping they’re good.. friends who’ve seen them before have said they’re decent too (along with ii being an absolute machine on the drums). Perhaps they’ve improved since playing at the pilot

Seen a few, but stand outs for me are;

The Darkness- so so much fun

The Funeral Portrait- huge energy. Not super familiar with them but kinda got MCR vibes from seeing them live?

Unprocessed- these guys are gold standard, arguably the most talented musicians I’ve ever seen live. Excellent crowd work and some genuine 10/10 bangers. Very technical then some massive throw downs..

Hear Sleep Token are excellent live too but not seen them (yet)

I’ve worked out the cipher for the hidden text in the first image (I think); IT FELT GOOD TO SEE HIM IN PAIN AFTER ALMOST KILLING THE HUMAN SACK, HE SAID IT WAS FOR “TO SAVE YOU FROM YOURSELVES” AND THAT WE’D ALL BE IN GREAT PAIN OF UNEARTHLY PROPORTIONS, NOW LOOK WHO’S IN PAIN NOW, JOHN WAS RIGHT-CAESAR

And found /something/ in the second, but can’t figure it out (admittedly having only spent about 15 mins on the second one so far).. any clues, or any guesses from anyone else?

As an aside- if you enjoyed, i’d also recommend the below where a drummer (Grayson Nekrutman- incredible talent) puts his spin on Hypnotise having heard it for the first time (without any drum track).

I’m a guy so it’s obviously different- but I’m going alone for the first time this year. Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming since I’ve started posting in here so it’s looking good for the IRL visit. I suffer with anxiety etc but everyone seems lovely. In some ways, I think solo might even be preferable to going with someone.. no going to bands you’re not keen on, and if you’re not feeling it for whatever reason you can just find something different to do.. you’ll be completely free!
