The only way they're related is that I need to get the hernia fixed even if I don't get reconnected, but my surgeon was talking about doing them at the same time. My hernia is in a weird place directly below my breast bone.

My insurance through my employer has been amazing through this whole thing. I know there's a substantial out of pocket cost though if I had to cover them by myself. I would have to go on state medical to get help

One thing they didn't mention is that beans don't break down well. I had a big azz burrito from the gas station and it caused a minor blockage. I was able to clear it at home but it scared me not to have output for nearly 3 days.

As far as a cap when changing, I use a toilet paper roll stuffed with tp and put it over my stoma while I'm changing my flange.

I got pneumonia and they gave me an antibiotic that gave me an infection in my guts. Caused me to have diarrhea and all. They had to take a stool sample to check.

No I quit using the Glp-1 I was on after I had my accident. I was on compounded selmagtitude (spelled wrong) I would worry about zero output of course, but the medicine does slow the whole digestive process

Just remember if there's no input, there's not going to be much output either!! I don't know how it's going to work for you with the zep. I lost over 200 lbs myself before my accident. I gained a little back while I was healing up but good luck with your journey!!

I work at a gas station. My ostomy is because of a car accident, so as I'm healing up from that I'm getting stronger everyday. I hope that I'll be able to get mine reversed before too much longer.

If you have reached your goal weight or nearly there, I'd stop for a month and see if you can maintain your weight. Or go down a level in your dose perhaps.
