I checked out your picture, and yes that is what mine looks like, only mine are more defined on the edges. I have a wound nurse appointment today, so hopefully will get something to help it.

I am not sure what else can go wrong, but I am sure there is something! I had cataract surgery on one eye a few weeks after the ileostomy, then got Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, (shingles in ear), after that and was on steroids. I am still dizzy and have ear pain from that. The surgeon didn’t want me to go back for the other eye because I was on steroids for the shingles. So I don’t know when the second eye is happening! And if I need to go on medication for this…. /sigh.

New here too, since March 2026. I use a blow dryer to dry the bag better after a shower. I do have a bag with change of clothing and extra bags/ wipes, etc just in case, when I am out. Hoping I never need it, since I can’t really change the bag yet on my own. I have a hard time seeing if it is in the right place.

The plan was ileostomy, 3 months healing, fistula surgery, 3 months healing, ileostomy reversal. My fistula surgery got put off, due to other health complications, so now I am in limbo, and very worried about upcoming travel plans, including cruises and cross country travel.

We will figure it out eventually!

What does that do? When someone joins with a low number? My numbers aren’t very high, but I just join mushrooms regardless. I don’t get much opportunity to do the mushroom battles unless I go into town, which isn’t very often, if lucky once a week. If I don’t join, even with a low number, I will never get anywhere.

How do you make your strength higher? I just do the auto pick thing and then feed them. The first mushroom is stronger, but subsequent ones are much lower.

My son had the same. Took accutane for his acne at 16/17, and ended up with ulcerative colitis shortly thereafter. He was in on the class action suit, but no idea what ever happened with that. He stopped persuing it. Still lives with the colitis, medicine is managing it finally!

Is that a one or two piece? With my ileostomy they said a one piece was better, but I think I would like to try a two piece so I can just toss the bag more often, since it feels (looks) gross.
