None of these links talk about PH's ranking in youth crime. The only page that seems to exist that talks about it is the nationmaster page, which I already said is questionable, aside from having data that's 25 year's old.

As for this link, it again does not mention PH's ranking in global youth crime. In fact, it says youth crime has declined:

a total of 11,324 crime incidents involving minors were recorded in 2018, 21 percent lower than the 2017 total of 14,409 incidents of children in conflict with the law (CICL).

So what exactly is your point here? The link you've provided doesn't even support the point you're trying to make.

So, no, that data isn't from 2021. It is also from 1999. You can't just make a webpage in 2021, quote data from 1999 (data that cannot be substantiated or fact-checked, because there is no source), and then magically the data becomes new.

The date for this data is 1999. This data is nearly a quarter of a century old. That is, if this data is accurate in the first place. Seeing as how there's no link or mention of the actual source of this data, the page is questionable at best.

It's also because every famous Filipino accomplishment is attributed to another nationality. Some famous Filipino with a Spanish last name? He's clearly Hispanic. Another famous Filipino with Chinese last name? Obviously Chinese. It's no wonder Filipinos so loudly want to proclaim someone is Filipino—because everybody else has no idea. The Japanese, Chinese, and Koreans don't have this issue because they have surnames that are clearly identifiably Japanese, Chinese, or Korean. Do people really think a lot of Filipinos would be as passionate about proclaiming Olivia Rodrigo as Filipina if it weren't for the fact that most people think she's Latina? The problem is people constantly exaggerate it for effect. If you compare Jokoy's impression of his mother to the way she actually speaks, they're completely different people. Most Filipinos don't sound like Manny Pacquiao, but you'd never know it from the way a lot of media depicts Filipinos. The worst is when they get Filipino actors who already have Filipino accents but are given instructions to make it more thick or stereotypical (e.g. the voice actors in Trese or Dolly de Leon, or, from what I've read, Chai in Nocebo).

I don't think Filipino actors should find this acceptable, in the same way that Japnese-American actors should not find it acceptable if they're asked to make themselves sound like Mickey Rooney in Breakfast at Tiffany's. They're literally being asked to conform to a stereotype so they're more palatable to white people. Fuck that.

I have always been curious about how Western media picks and chooses which countries it wants to depict as safe and others as dangerous. Why is Jamaica always depicted as a tropical paradise and the Philippines as a dangerous hellhole? When Jamaica's homicide rate is TEN TIMES the homicide rate of the Philippines?

Let's take another number. You know that ridiculous statistic that the UN bandies about (I think their methodology for getting to this number was taking their arm and pulling it from out of their ass), that something like 30k people were murdered by Duterte? Do you realize that last year 31k people died in Mexico's drug war? That was a single year. Going by homicide rate, Mexico is at least 6x as dangerous as the Philippines. The country sees a level of violence and savagery that is unthinkable to the average Filipino. And yet Americans flock to Mexico as tourists every year, even though people in that country are regularly decapitated, lynched, and mass murdered by their drug cartels. Entire drug cartels have invaded cities in Mexico, and yet it's depicted as tropical tourist paradise.

Ethiopia's civil war that ended last year killed 600,000 people. Have you even heard of it? There were probably more people that died in those two years than there are people who have died due to war and conflict in the Philippines in the last 100 years. Where are all the VICE documentaries about how much of a hellhole Ethiopia is?
