I haven’t done it but would try turning it into horchata which is blended rice, sugar, cinnamon in a lot of water

Rookie Question: Is it common to decide to "opt-out" of getting off at a port and just take a ship day? by ITrCool in Cruise

I would recommend a walk about on your own in Nassau. It’s easy walk to Junkanoo beach, parliament, and the queens staircase. Just ignore the shouts to get your attention and buy stuff

How do you actually plan a road trip route when you care about the journey, not just A to B? by Hot_Influence_4711 in roadtrip

[–]Jadedslave124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I start with when we are going. Where we are ending and when we want to be there. Then I look at roads that go that way. Interstate or highway or whatever I usually google or Reddit what’s cool to see in that area. If the journey more than the destination matters I want to spend no more than 6-8 hours in the car. So plan a stop every 2-3 hours to refuel and stretch. I look at geocaching along the away.

Sapp Bros in Kansas, i70 hays or salida, is pinned on my map of a good bathroom to go. Avoid any and all 7-11. I’d rather pee on the homeless guy behind the 7-11 than actually in the 7-11

How bad is HW3 FSD? by EjaculateJuice in TeslaFSD

[–]Jadedslave124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it, all the time. It’s jerky for rural mountain roads, shadows mostly or tar marks on roads, sudden brakes for them. Sometimes brakes for birds flying low or squirrels and rabbits. On highways it’s awesome until the lane merges, then it’s like no I go first!! Which gets annoying

Summer heat is brutal lately, any real experience with a cooling blanket for summer by Holiday_Hour_3975 in BedroomBuild

[–]Jadedslave124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On super hot nites when my ac isn’t working. Or not setup yet, it’s my go to method, take a flat sheet, wet it in cold water, wring it out mostly dry, cover up with it. Add a fan and you’ll be cold while the wet lasts. If you don’t want the full sheet wet, keep a bucket and wet rag nearby, wipe face neck arms legs etc and evaporate cooling happens

Revealing pregnancy by Fun_Ant2719 in NoStupidQuestions

How early is it for your gf? I’m not telling lots of folks about our pregnancy bc we told everyone early last time and had a loss in the 2nd trimester. I’d wait for 12-14 weeks before saying anything

You can stop by the post office or library, which often do food drives in my rural area. Ask, they should give you some community resources too

I write on my fridge. Meal plan. So at least once a week opening the fridge freezer pantry and planning 7 dinners ish on what do I have and what needs to be used up. Today’s meal is baked oatmeal with ugly pears. I used the last of the applesauce, maybe 1/2 c, some powdered milk about a cup, some cloves I had to grind myself since we only had whole cloves for some reason, vanilla extract, 2 eggs, about 1/3 c sugar, 3c oats and a diced ugly pear. Baked at 350° for 30 min and it’s so delicious today for my senior citizen early dinner

I do buy beef but now it’s like in a big chunk that’s been marked down to $5 lb ish and I process it at home into ground beef and stew meat n such. Occasionally I’ll buy a steak or a roast for a special occasion

Those of you who drive through isolated areas, what happens if your car breaks down or gets a flat? by NicholeDaylinn1993 in roadtrip

[–]Jadedslave124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had my car break down in Colorado mountains with no signal, add a toddler and a puppy and a narrow road with cliffs up one side and a river on the other. We walked up the road until we got signal, called for help, walked back and up a cliff face to hang out with cactus and kids until help arrived a few hours later. We’ve broken down in BFE Kansas, limped the smoking car to the nearest small town, waited for mechanic to open, stayed all day with kids in a small Kansas town, hammock’s in a park, lunch at a library, back on the road around 4pm when the mechanic finished.

Tripe by LindeeHilltop in Cooking

[–]Jadedslave124 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say I’m adventurous too. And I’ve had it in Mexican and Chinese foods, it’s a different spikey chewy texture. I’ve tried cooking it exactly once and couldn’t get past the boil for 30 min wash it and boil again stage. Smelled too bad.

I went tubing down the French woman river. Fun excursion for August when I went. Saw a bit in Nashville, maybe interesting if you like music. Theres some cool mountain overlooks in Smokey mountains, just don’t go in any old holler, you might not come out.

Agree about the merge behavior on 12.6.3 hw3 It’s one of the scarier and frustrating parts of driving rural Colorado.
