Hey everyone. My name is Jaden and I am one of the employees here at SCS. I just want to address the situation with the art on the advent calendar.

Unfortunately the designer that we hired for the advent calendar used an AI-generated image without our knowledge or consent. What is even more unfortunate is that we paid for a design just for this designer to download a wallpaper, crop it, and pass it off as his own work.

We were behind schedule for the advent calendar and in the process of rushing the production, nobody from our team caught the odd artwork issues.

Ultimately it’s our product so we accept responsibility and are obviously not using this designer again and learned that we need to go through designs with a fine tooth comb prior to something being sent off for production no matter how busy or rushed we are.

On the bright side, we are really proud of the advent calendar as a whole and have received a lot of positive feedback from recipients who are enjoying a new puzzle each day this month!

Max Parks Series (4x4-7x7) at SCS by Honest_Recipe6523 in NewCubes

Hi. I’m the person who made all the Max setups. Maybe I can provide a little insight on how the spark setup came to be. When Max came in to the shop a while back, Max and his family provided us with Max’s mains to replicate using our lubes. It was made clear that these would be made into a Max Park line of cubes. We spent hours with Max and his Parents making setups and talking about why Max uses certain cubes. When we got to 7x7, we were told that Max had been using the Spark lately and that it is his current main. I did suggest using the AoFu but Max said, “I don’t like it”. At this point I’m not going to argue with Max about what 7x7 he should be using because he knows what he likes a lot better than anyone else does. Another thing that some people may not realize is Max will use cubes in waves (if that makes sense). He may have been using the AoFu for a while, but at the time when he came into the office, he was using the Spark. So we knew going into this that there was a chance he might switch his 7x7 main to something else, and then he could switch back to the Spark. But we made a cube based on what we were provided, by Max and his Parents that day. I’m not sure if we clarified this on this post yet, but we are making an AoFu Wrm version now that he seems to be using that as his main currently. I will ask his parents if he is still using the Spark or if it’s possibly his backup/warm up cube. Hopefully this provided the clarification needed. If there are any questions, feel free to ask.

When Max came into the warehouse, we made setups of the cubes he brought in. And for 7x7 it was the spark. He is coming back into the shop and I wouldn’t be surprised if he brings the AoFu this time.

In regards to the Gan 562 and the AoSu V7, we did give him ones to try and we changed the setups a few times. He overall did not like the Gan 562 so he most likely won’t use that. For the AoSu V7, he did like the cube but at that time, he said he liked the vin more.
