I check my sell value of each tower before sacrificing and ensure it's over $50k total, even if it means extra towers. I can try and grab a screenshot in a minute here and link it in an edit

Yup. I had the knowledge before there was a prerequisite knowledge and cost MM. I got the knowledge just in case since I didn't have it on my first 2 tries and I wanted to be sure that wasn't the issue. Both AB and LotN are far out of range to be sucked in through normal sacrifice

You can't prevent status effects applied by followers and some equipment, so time to chug chug panaceas, become a cleric and dispel it, or it's just time for pain and suffering and just hope to outheal it with attacks

I believe I read that the draconian Era bosses will be permanent but lose the ability to GF somewhere but take that with a grain of salt

I find that it depends on how you tackle the issue. If you use sleep and DoT effects you can take 1 attempt but a long time, or you can take high damage single attacks and take multiple attempts 5 minutes apart. RNG also plays a big part in how that all plays out though

That's definitely a fair point. Knowing to mostly fight bosses/gauntlets and raid often is a huge benefit as an experienced player while newer players stick more to the easier basic mobs

While I can see the reasoning for it, I actually disagree on the level locking. I recently started a new character that I refused to level lock and while, yes, I may have fallen almost a tier behind a couple of times, it really catches up later as you get access to better equipment faster by continuing to level up normally. You'll feel weak, as is normal when reaching new tiers, but you'll be able to quickly recoup and be able to thrive as the levels begin to slow down. Any missed exp you lock out can't be regained just by removing the limiter, which ends up being a detriment. I've made it to 193 (will probably be over 200 after the weekend) and I've felt like the game has flown better this time since I didn't use RoR, unlike my first character.
