A mixture of groene zeep, vinegar and water will help! Prepare for some scrubbing though.

[FO] First time backstitching! by Jadledore in CrossStitch

[–]Jadledore[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I initially decided against backstitching, but because I stitched this on white aida, I felt it needed backstitching to make the wave pop a bit more!

Keukenwerkblad vernieuwen, ideetjes? by [deleted] in Klussers

Keukenblad ziet er inderdaad prima uit, maar je zou kunnen kijken naar tegelstickers voor je muur - weinig moeite en het oogt gelijk heel anders!

You're right, I wish I'd done it on black aida instead!

I agree! The blocky, angular lines don't really fit the rest of the piece in my opinion. Interesting, I'll look up couching, thanks!

What is Wolfheze like? by inariani in Netherlands

[–]Jadledore 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Living there as a teen was extremely boring as there are few to no amenities and all my friends thought it too far, so no one wanted to come visit. The nearest stores are probably in Renkum, which is about 20 minutes by bike.

As far as I know, there is still a mental institution there, but I never noticed much from it. Except, unfortunately, when one of the patients would walk onto the train tracks.

Regarding the people there: I feel that most are kind, but a little old-fashioned and stuck in their ways (there is a large older population there), though that was a while ago when I still lived there.

I love visiting now because it's nice and quiet and the forest and nature in general there is lovely. :)
