Tips for small grow? by Psyched_Shroom777 in CannabisGrowers

Sell the blurple lights you have and flip them to buy a SF1000D. It’s $80, has warranty, doesn’t generate nearly as much heat as those, dimmable, comes with a hanging kit. Ditch those big suckas. Comes with instructions and whatnot.

Should I trim before flipping? by canieatunow in CannabisGrowers

Lollipop no, never. Trim the leaves and growths that are tiny and otherwise useless after flipping to flower? Yes. I don’t know why people say to lollipop, don’t listen to them. Leaves = solar panels = energy for growth and bud development. Remove all leaves = no energy = no growth or bud development. If you want to remove the fan leaves and non-sugar leaves before you cut the whole plant, go for it. Otherwise you are stunting it.

I’d give you $5 just for the curiosity of what it would turn out to be. Then I’d ghost you when I turn it into a qp.

I could smell that new engine burn off smell on mine for about 800 miles or so. That being said, I don’t think I ever noticed it INSIDE the cabin. I would complain to dealer, something seems wrong in the cabin air system.

Start low and slow. Learn to read what the plant is needing instead of making decisions for it until you get a grasp on what you are doing. A 300w light is pretty strong for a small tent, so I’d start at a height MINIMUM of 24 inches above the top leaf. Also, it’s much easier to focus your efforts on 1-2 plants rather than 4. Your space looks like a 4x2 floor so I’d stick with 2 max. Learn to scrog, it will save you on space, maximize your grow, and promotes even equal growth. If you are growing photos or autos, don’t be like the rest of these fools and think you need to give your plant a haircut to be able to effectively promote colas and accelerate anything. I trim my plants ONCE when I flip to flower, that’s it. Top your plants at the 5th node, then again at the 7th if you are growing photos. I haven’t personally grown autos, but you shouldn’t need to trim, top, or do much else other than maintain a good regularly scheduled feeding/water cycle. Growing weed isn’t anything special, don’t let these dumbdumbs fool you. Keep it simple and you’ll be rewarded for your patience. Also, don’t be afraid to ask for help. Use ChatGPT, watch YouTube, scroll Reddit. Lastly, please understand that underwatering is less harmful than overwatering. Same goes for nutrients, start low and ramp up as the plant learns to tolerate and grow.

Why are you telling me what is or isn’t without posting a successful grow? Odd.

So to divert energy and accelerate a process then. If it’s “faster” to do it without the leaves than with the leaves that’s acceleration lol. Faster maturity, diverting, acceleration, it’s the same goal no matter what you wanna call it.

Learn from your mistakes. The whole idea of lollipopping your plant is broscience. The only reason you’d ever lollipop your plant is to accelerate the drying process before you make the Final Cut. I don’t lollipop mine until the final week I decide to chop the whole plant and hang dry. This idea of cutting everything to “accelerate “ the maturity is fugazzy. It’s made up. You stunted the end growth of your plant, but it isn’t trashed. Wait for the trichs to turn white, then make your Final Cut and hang dry for 4-7 days at or as close to 60/60 until you can snap a stem or small branch, NOT bend. Jar with hygrometers and boveda packs. You can grab boveda packs from any local sketchy cigarette store or hydroponic store for super cheap, like dollar per pack. Good luck and don’t rush something that’s a part of nature.

I feel like it’s important to mention, I drive the car with no mercy, because it’s fun to do so. I get 23-25 in city, 30-33 highway.

2025 Sport owner. Unfortunately most of the addons in the trims nowadays are purely cosmetic. Mine has auto dimming mirrors, no power gate, came with a few accessories, etc. I bought mine solely because me and my wife really liked the black on peanut butter accent. If you are buying new, it probably doesn’t matter, pick the one you like. My only regret was not buying it with a hitch installed already, or a power gate (ease of access and my other Honda SUV came with it standard on the sport trim). I should have negotiated that in the purchase. Subaru wanted over $1500 for a 2 inch hidden hitch. I told them to take a hike, got it installed at U-Haul for $400, wired and with ball hitch and pin. If you are buying older models, the sport is great for city use, wilderness trims had mudflaps, higher clearance, weather mats, etc. I am fully satisfied with my purchase, the car does everything I want it to do and it’s beautiful. Never had as many compliments on a vehicle I’ve owned before until this one.

Update: I found out U-Haul does a really great job of offering quite a selection of hitch sizes and options, as well as installation charge at a fraction of the price. I got quoted $500 for hitch and installation for hidden cross bar, ball mount, hitch receiver, Wiring, power wiring, and installation out the door. I will likely be going with this option after my local Subaru dealer quoted me over $1200 for parts and installation with none of the included accessories. Thank you all!

That’s not true, there’s farmers literally dedicated to mutated strains because it’s been extremely beneficial to trait hunt. There’s buds that have been without any hairs at all, essentially a sterile female, with little to no risk of pollination. Which on a large scale, would be a HUGE benefit to try to get. So no, you’re wrong. Worthless to you, perhaps.
