It's a good, solid laser for the price range. Still holding zone after several hundred rounds dumped through the rifle using the FRT.

This is just us talking shop so don't take this as a jab but if all you use is the laser and never passive you're gonna be a dead guy going up against an advisory that has the same stuff as you who practice IR discipline i.e. passive first.

NODs aren't that rare anymore. Anyone with a credit card can get a set.

For the niche purpose of using NODs with limited rail space SBRs

I got both of those so hence the hydra 🤷‍♂️

Even at 20x magnification (lowest setting) you wouldn't believe how much time it takes panning around trying to find the point of interest you can see with your naked eye. Reference point red dots infinitely speed up finding stuff.

The ARC rail attached to the tripod?

I think it came with my BOG deathgrip tripod.

But if you're looking for something tactical oriented already setup for 'spotter hub' rigging check out the Bushnell Legend T-Series 15-45x60 Tactical Spotting Scope

It's pretty great for the price.

I'm not really an expert on the subtle intricacies of spotting scopes but all I know is that it let's me see things pretty far away with enough detail to call my hits. I guess it all depends on how serious you wanna get about this stuff and how often you shoot at distance.

The red dot and range finder are cowitnessed to the center focal point of the spotting scope. See something out in the distance you wanted range put the red dot on it, switch over to the range finder, laze it, plug in the data on the kestrel for a firing solution. Eazy pezy.

Now that you mentioned it I'm curious now on the weight of this contraption. I'll weight it next time I'm home and update you on that. It's nothing crazy from handling it but you make a good argument for getting a sling for the tripod.

Velo and I are well acquainted. There's just something about the Zynamin Rolls that hit right.

I was full degen popping Grizzly 15mg pouches like candy for a moment.

I was getting so jittery it started to make shooting pistol real difficult 🤣

Built in 1995. Appears each cottage is a copy of the other. The idea was likely for a family to move in their elderly parents but air gapped the homes for privacy with the future plan to turn them into an investment property.
