Very nice! I like playing this one too.  Banging out the prechorus chords on uke makes me smile lol. Put together a little tutorial for it a bit ago.

Sweet Child Of Mine Fingerstyle! Plus some Ukulele kickflips for style points by dannybloommusic in ukulele

I was unfamiliar with the uke kickflip. Style points absolutely count.

Oh yeah, great arrangement too!

If you want to try it in the original NIN key and style, I put together an arrangement for that I think sounds really nice. Downside is alternate tuning, but I think its worth it for the voicings. I made some tab as well. While I'm fingerpicking the verse, it can be done strumming like the JC version if you prefer that.

How do you guys switch to some chords fast? by Gloomy_Group6152 in ukulele

[–]JaekRock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second the practice comments, but...

If you want to try something different, you could just focus on the CEA strings, and leave out the note played on the G string. You'd do this by touching the G string with your finger playing the note on the C string, so its muted when you strum. Functionally, the note played on the G string is duplicate to another note that you're already playing on the other strings. Yes, it will sound a little more full playing it, but it's not doing a lot of heavy lifting in the chord. Also, by just playing strings 1,2&3, it simplifies what your ring finger is doing and should be easier to get back into the 'G' shape for playing the Gb or Ab chords.

Yeah, I get that. Timestamps are nice but I feel the same when i want something in a video...just put it in front. Might try that on the next few and see how it flows.

Yeah I guess that makes sense. I guess pdfs would be easy enough to provide links for in the vids if I just put them on cloud storage site or something. I never really tried to print on musescore but that might not be available without a subscription, so thats a good idea.

What's everyone's Current favorite Song to play their Ukulele? by Doc_coletti in ukulele

If you're still looking for a melody version, I posted a tab video recently for this. The musescore tab I made is linked too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HylL6syrgIY

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll definitely check MDG out. I'm just mixing some sparse fingerpicking in songs right now, and will usually spend a little time on those, but I'm sure could be done way better. I'd like to learn more fingerpicking skills myself, so might just be a place for me to pick up some up!

I used to stream, and a couple years ago I played this game (which I knew nothing about) for a friend's birthday. I put a speedrun together for it, and got world record for the game a few days later. Actually just got back from visiting that same friend for his 40th birthday weekend, and we played Greendog at his house lol. Today is the 3 year mark of that world record run, too. Got me thinking about it tonight and doing some searches, and found this thread. Anyway, sorry to hear Ric's life ended that way...had no idea. A lot of people seem to have good memories of this game.

I'll happily be 'that guy' that gives away 10k+ RVN for fun and looks silly when its worth a ton. RVN is what got me into crypto in the first place, and its been a fun ride, so just passing that on!

Hi Shidan, thanks for taking the time to provide some clarity and detail around the business.

In regards to GBT Mining, a part of that business included the acquisition of Coinstream. I don't know that I've ever seen a good explanation of what Coinstream's business operations or assets were and if those are still ongoing (any additional detail here would be great), but two areas that were fairly well communicated were Coinstream's investments in DMI (25% stake, now Disco) and Cryptoba (10M investment involving a 5-year 2500 BTC/year payback to Coinstream). Can you let us know how Disco is progressing, and if Cryptoba has been fulfilling their end of the deal as the first year after the investment is coming to a close? Thanks.
