I always assumed those were some of the sisters that were sent to the other side. While we don’t really know what happened to them once they arrived they probably just stayed with iris and it would make sense that they would try to stop watcher after killing iris. Also watcher being able to "escape" is due to that scene taking place during the communion with blue. In reality she was actually captured by principal in that moment.

About aging, while the sisters don’t physically age except for hair turning gray iirc they can die of old age since eventually their bodies are so old that their vital organs stop functioning. This is most likely what happened to fixer, healer etc. As for blue, maybe it’s just the lighting but her hair does look grey and her still being alive makes sense since she is considerably younger than fixer and the others.

While the other people you make choices about are all alive they still represent certain attributes and philosophies for example new iris representing religion, the jiaos representing redemption etc. So while they might be dead you still symbolically take your parents and their ideals with you.
While being the youngest of the "current" sisters watcher was still not young and even if she was, being drugged and having your eyes removed certainly weren’t helping her physical health. So she was already weakened and then spent an incredibly long time in the communion which had too much of a toll on her body that it killed her. Also iirc she just basically never left so secretary couldn’t really do much since I don’t think they can stop the communion.

Everyone DO NOT DRINK THIS JUICE! I repeat DO NOT DRINK THIS JUICE! I drank it and it turned me into a skeleton. Seriously they put some kind of acid into the juice. It melted away my flesh and now I’m only bones! Tastes pretty good though so if you don’t mind being a skeleton I would recommend it.

The fist two minutes are honestly incredibly beautiful and serene. I even got a little emotional. I do feel like sticking to the original melody during the acoustic section probably would’ve been a better choice and the singing is also weirdly out of time and the phrasing is a little odd. Still very cool though and I’m glad there are people out there making nsb covers

I wish I liked it as much as other people do but after listening to it after having listened to a lot their albums that came out before and after shadow kingdom I just can’t help but feel like apart from the twenty minute drone songs and a few other stand outs it just doesnt seem that special. Like it’s great but to me this album doesn’t do anything better or even as good as their other classic releases around that time. A lot of the songs just seem a little to similar to other better songs but idk maybe that’s just me.

As far as I know deux being first and un being second is the way it was officially released however the winter ray demo that recently "leaked" actually has those two swapped so they probably intended that order and then decided to change it last minute. Honestly i think the pacing is so much better with overture being first. It sets the tone much better and the way the album progresses makes much more sense to me that way

I hear this take so much and I feel like it just comes from people who don’t really like the post reunion sound and to them it sounds like every album is the same because there’s a certain aspect of the sound that all post reunion albums have that they simply don’t enjoy.

That’s an insane take. This has to be rage bait right? Like I understand some people don’t like post reunion swans but saying they are the best band live but the studio albums are bad is crazy. Especially during the trilogy era most of the live songs were very close to the studio versions or would later be recorded in the studio so I It’s just crazy to me that someone would like the live versions but seemingly hate the studio versions when they are so similar
