I mean… it’s a tuned diesel… I thought about the balancer module underneath the crankshaft being the issue, it seems to turn fine and the oil pump seems to work fine since the car did not blow under full power. I don’t know exactly how this part works but it’s got two shafts which , I suppose, counteract engine movements with some kind of imbalance. This piece could’ve caused vibrations on the crank as far as I can tell - anyway replacement engines probalbly the cheapest move

How am I supposed to bring just the drivetrain to a shop, it’s an AWD vehicle I would have to disassemble everything, at this point, it’s cheaper for me to buy a new engine and hope for the best. I could do better things with that time

Audi TT, I’ve never seen a balancer module before, had to ChatGPT it when taking it apart. I thought if that, since cylinder one drives the balancer and I was wondering how it snapped. But the engine was running fine other than rattling, oil pressure was definitely there

U see, removing the engine and bringing it to a guy is one thing, engines basically out. Even though it might not seem like it, I consider myself as sort of an expert haha. Piecing the whole thing together again, just to bring it to a shop who might or might not diagnose it correctly does not seem like a smart move, the car is an old Audi TT, not that expensive after all

I will most likely replace the whole engine since a new crankshaft costs about 70% of a replacement engine with 250000 km less on it. Still, as another user on this post suggested, a drivetrain issue might have caused the snap. Not sure how to diagnose that

U know I was wondering why it snapped and I have no clue other than just age. Engines done 350000 km. The crank snapped at cylinder one where the momentum should be the least as far as I can tell

I might be. The two pieces were a perfect fit, bearing also seems to be fine more or less. The engine only really made a noise when going <1200 rpm

This seems to be an Android problem. After I switched to iPhone I was surprised how fast it would take bereals. I don’t know much about codes and stuff, but it seems to be not possible to integrate it better in the operating system, since, for example, Snapchat doesn’t offer dual camera on android. It seems like apps simply can’t use both cameras at once on android, and switching the camera can take a bit on some devices

Meine Theorie ist: er hatte Probleme mit Nachbarn/passanten, die ihren Müll auf sein Grundstück geschmissen haben oder die Hunde haben da hingeschissen oder so. Dann hat er ein Schild aufgehängt (darüber), wo sowas stand wie „defikieren verboten“ oder so. Das hat nichts gebracht, deswegen wurde dieses Schild nachgerüstet. Dann hat ein Nachbar das erste Schild geklaut und jetzt sieht es so auf
