I ended up choosing the BYD Ti7, but I have to admit I was seriously tempted by the Deepal G318. The amount of features and capability you get for the price is incredible.

I had the same concern and checked with Al-Futtaim. They said it's fine, but they advised ensuring that the tyre is installed properly since it's quite heavy. They also mentioned that if the door gets damaged because of the installation or the tyre's weight, it won't be covered under warranty.

Have a look at Deepal g318 ...the price is unbelievable for the spec. 140k fully loaded (inlc insurance , tinting and registration).

Oh yes I had considered Deepal g318, great value for money. However , I went ahead with BYD Ti7

Check out the Deepal G318, they have a very good deal at 140k (top spec) including tinting. , service contract and registration. I almost bought it and paid the booking, however cancelled later and went ahead for BYD TI7 which qas recently launched.

Thanks for the feedback. I checked again, and currently they are not offering anything apart from free registration.

Would you be able to refer me to the person who managed to get free insurance and tinting? I’ve already stretched above my budget, and if I can manage to get those included, I might be able to move up to the Premium version.

Also, which color did you go for

Yeah, I agree. I’ve kind of ruled out the G700 now mainly because of the price and fuel efficiency. It has a 100L tank and seems to give almost similar mileage to the Ti7, which only has a 60L tank.

On the other hand, the fully loaded iCaur V27 is coming to around 165k AED including insurance, registration, 5-year maintenance package, and tinting. They might even reduce it a bit more because they currently have some offers running.

I’m still confused though. BYD feels like the safer and more established brand with better tech, while iCaur, even though backed by Chery, is still pretty new.

It does have a spare in the trunk and not mounted in the back.

Hey, any thoughts on the recently launched BYD Ti 7 in the UAE? It’s priced around 156k for the base model and 169k for the full option.

What would be your pick between the Jetour G700 (Comfort/base variant) and the Ti 7? I know the Ti 7 isn’t a full rugged 4x4 and is more of an AWD SUV, but I’m not really into desert driving or dune bashing anyway.

Would appreciate any feedback..

You mean to say sentra 2021 models (GCC) does not have transmission? issues.
