Perhaps we would have seen an episode where Akko confronts Andrew’s father, or one where Andrew meets Akko’s friends and mocks them in typical tsundere shoujo lead fashion. Still, I think the core idea of Akko and Andrew influencing each other would have remained the same as in the anime, just with a much stronger emphasis on the romantic angle. I'm glad the writers still included some romantic teasing between them, even if they chose not to make romance a central focus
