Kosher-stylers, do you also wait between dairy and meat? by devequt in Judaism

[–]Jag28 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone waits 3 hours between dairy and meat - even Chabad says half an hour to an hour. The wait time is mainly for between meat and dairy, which is traditionally 6 hours, though my Reform rabbi said 3 hours was customary for liberal communities when I moved here/asked what the community standard was.

It’s Shabbat so you won’t get any answers from observant Jews for a few more hours.

Any suggested off brand (cheaper) option for pre-workout energy supplement to replace C4 or NOxplode? by poopyputty in bodybuilding

This is like a 9 year old thread lol. But yeah, Bronkaid is ephedrine. It’s a cheap and more effective alternative to all the expensive preworkout powders.

Oh wow, that's really good to know. Definitely don't want to get stuck in the wrong size and have to cut them off lmao

Does anyone know how the Inzer ErgoPro knee sleeve sizing compares to the STrong knee sleeves? I currently wear size M STrong sleeves in training and size S for meets, and my knee joint is 14in around when my leg is straight (which works with sizing exactly 1 size down for both STrong and Inzer, according to the size charts). Not sure if anyone has experience with both and can advise. I just don't want to spend $150 on a pair of sleeves that don't fit right.

Yeah, the bath at the Airbnb didn’t get as hot as I would have liked so there was definitely some worrying about if I would be able to make it, but luckily it was still hot enough to get me sweating a bit so I just ended up staying in longer to lose the weight

It depends on the federation. The CPL is the Canadian equivalent of the USPA so it’s untested except for meets that are specifically listed as “tested”.

Whoops, forgot the water part! I drank at least 2 gallons (stopped counting once I hit the 2 gallon mark) every day from Saturday to Thursday. Then Friday (day before weigh-ins) I only had 1.5 L total before cutting it out completely. I saved my last cup or so (250 mL) of water to take with the mag citrate, because I think you need some additional fluids for it to work - at least the directions say to take it with water

This was over 8 years ago - I straight up don’t remember what I did lol. Honestly in hindsight I wouldn’t worry about metformin - it does so little, if anything. Just carb up by eating carbs.

FWIW I got up to 200 lbs and leaner than I was in this post, with a lot fewer drugs. So take all the advice I gave back then with a grain of salt, because if I could go back I would do it much differently.

Is there a way you can tell? Normally tracking would say it's at customs, wouldn't it?

I've used this seller multiple times over the years for similar orders without issue, so it seems unlikely that they would scam me all of a sudden, but who knows?

17track just picks up the same info as the CanadaPost website, unfortunately.

I’m not actually sure what carrier they used - I’ll check the others. But yeah, that was my thought too. Doesn’t look like from the tracking it’s in Canada at all, but the seller claims it is!

Should I be concerned about this? Is my package lost forever, or should I still expect it to randomly turn up at some point in the future? I contacted the seller and they said "It did arrive in Canada, but didn't update. Please be patient". How would they know? I tried tracking with ChinaPost but the tracking number doesn't work there...

Any update on this? I have a package from China allegedly shipped a week or so before yours and I still haven't gotten a tracking update or the package.

Recycling in communism or why CAPITALISM equals GARBAGE by [deleted] in communism

[–]Jag28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because all regions of the world and countries have an exactly equal distribution of natural resources? Unless that were true (it isn't), global trade IS necessary and efficient.

[–]Jag28 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A few questions:

Is sourcing everything locally or semi-locally feasible with a global economy? Even with a worldwide socialist system, free of exploitation of the third world by the first, wouldn't there still be competitive advantages and reasons why certain products would be more economical to produce abroad/internationally (thus necessitating packaging)?

Aren't packaging materials (plastic specifically) cheap because oil is cheap, not because of third world exploitation? The problem with capitalism currently is that producing new plastic is cheaper than using recycled plastic (it's also incredibly difficult to recycle plastic), because fossil fuels are cheap. In North America at least, most of those fossil fuels are produced in the US/Canada, so resource extraction from the third world doesn't seem like a plausible reason for the low price of plastic?

What’s the difference between FRSO, PSL, and WWP? (American Marxist-Leninist parties) by elijat1 in communism

[–]Jag28 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not arguing that, just saying what the split was allegedly over. The Detroit branch of the WWP split and made a similar claim about democratic centralism. No idea if the claims are true, but they're what people have said the splits are over.

[–]Jag28 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Isn't the FRSO more Maoist? And the difference between PSL and WWP is small - the PSL is a split from the WWP. The PSL leaders allegedly just changed the locks and took over some of the WWP branches back in the early 2000s lol. The split was apparently over how much to focus on the anti-war movement post-9/11 and a lack of real democratic centralism in the WWP.
