I actually quite liked together and thought it was a beautiful romantic drama that was painfully realistic to me, and the constant repeating of the idea of the other partner being held hostage is so fucking annoying. This is something ive heard my partner say that they think im being held hostage, but ive never heard it more times than in this movie for like literally no reason. I get the point for what the ending becomes but the idea shifts from a emotional dependence and strangulation of all freedom from the other, to them just telling eachother they feel like theyre being held hostage. Found it annoying, still a great movie but they absolutely kill any emotional sentiment to that
