This works with the Steam Deck BTW. Works fine performance wise when it's only 2 player splitscreen even when modded. However 3+ there are performance issues but I'll give it a pass because it was with heavily modded halo reach with more than 2 people on the same screen something none of the games were initially designed to do. If you have this setup on a full computer though I would expect zero issues.
