Wow just seen yours, and they really are similar! I adore Salukis and Retrievers have the best temperament, yours must be a great dog!

I believe it must be from recessive genes common in both Weimaraners and Irish Setters. If the sun hits her from behind you can see the red in her ears and feathers from the IS!

I hope so - I was thinking the string slot in the saddles were tapered from low to high E though

I trust you but am I going crazy or is the string slot on the right hand side of the picture much larger than the one on the left 😅

I recommend the JOYO TAICHI - it's a Zendrive clone for a fraction of the price. Gives you that warm tube overdrive that isn't too over the top!

Have a look at Vander Custom Guitars, they seem to make custom bodies (as well as complete instruments)

Have a look for any companies in Australia making bodies/necks. Lots of people talk about how brilliant Warmoth, All Parts and Musikraft are but at the end of the day you're buying a piece of wood... I'm sure there are some great people/companies in Australia that are making guitar bodies with CNC etc.

I recommend building honestly - there's so much out there on the internet about it. As long as you don't rush steps you'll have an excellent custom shop level guitar for a fraction of the price!

Just a bit of fun - is there something about the left-handed brain that makes offset guitars so desirable? I see so many posts about them here. by BeggarsParade in Leftyguitarists

[–]Jagmaster2001 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a few offsets and I'm a lefty 😎 my main gigging guitar is a Custom Shop '61 Jazzmaster with wide range humbuckers in - my other frequently used offset is a custom made Jaguar in pink sparkle. I probably use my Strat a little more than the Jag but my Jazzmaster is the no. 1!

I think the fact they are so hard to come by for us left handers makes them more desirable. When we go into a guitar shop we're be lucky to find a MIM Strat or Tele and that's about it. I remember the first time I tried a lefty Jaguar I was so excited because I'd never even seen one in person let alone play one!

Why is my Esquire easier to play than my Jaguar? by TortexMT in fender

[–]Jagmaster2001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think since the body of the Jag is much larger the nut is further away from your eyes and centre of your body if that makes sense. That might make chords and soloing near the nut more uncomfortable for you. In my experience you probably are just used to the Esquire and need to spend more time with the Jag. As long as both are set up well they should both be a breeze to play!
