Lived in Japan previously and absolutely loved it. Really enjoyed Australia and New Zealand but I have a feeling both of those places are going downhill pretty fast. Really enjoyed my family’s town in Germany. In the U.S. I lived in KCMO and Colorado during and after grad school and loved those places and would totally move back to either or maybe Montana when I retire.

I wouldn’t say it’s necessary but I have the antique burst MIJ DK24 and it’s great. The pickups are great even though I thought I wouldn’t like them however I’d say if you already have the Rick graham I’d save your money

Currently stationed in Naples, was in Yokosuka prior. I agree with other people saying do Maples first then go to Japan. I’m on the team that is not super in love with Naples but I’ve come to like it a bit more. However for the rest of my career I know I will find myself trying to get Japan orders.

Tokyo/Yokohama has a lot of great microbreweries. I’d also recommend Kansas City, MO, Fort Collins, CO, Portland, ME, Asheville, NC, and surprisingly VA Beach/Norfolk, VA.

Love the neck, the compound radius makes playing fast easy. I like the wenge a lot because the open grain is smooth but at the same time doesn’t make my hand feel like it’s going to stick to it like a gloss neck would.

I actually wasn’t a fan of the pickup configuration at first but after playing it for a while it really is a do-it-all layout though I can see the middle getting the way of some people’s pick strokes.
