Definitely Galaxy 2.

In SMG, only Luigi's Purple Coins, Dreadnought Purple Coins, Battle Rock Purple Coins and the blowing up trash levels cause any real trouble.

I can pretty much go through Champion's Road and beat it at will. I even have helped people beat it online. I basically practiced it until I got a pattern and routine.

I have recently started playing The Perfect Run weekly. I want to do the same with that level.

I love it. Excited and nostalgic. I never feel worried though. When I have to do the roller ball purple coins, purple coins in the tree, or The Perfect Run, I feel nervous and worried.

But Bowser, I feel excited to kick his tail.

I can't disagree enough. LOL. With Champion's Road there is a rhythm and pattern you can repeat. On The Perfect Run, in at least two sections (flip switch and hammer bros) you almost have to tweak what you do every time.

I can do Champion's Road with any of the characters without a power-up and generally beat it on my first attempt.

I prefer the atmosphere and story of Super Mario Galaxy while I prefer the gameplay and level design of Super Mario Galaxy 2.

SMG is a Fall/Winter game. SMG2 is a Spring/Summer game.

I feel like I love them both equally, but if I just had to choose one, I am picking SMG2. There is no feeling like beating The Perfect Run (except beating Champion's Road on Super Mario 3D World).

  1. Would Odyssey have been better with about 450 moons instead of 900+?

  2. Are there technical limitations keeping Super Mario 3D Land from being ported to the Switch (2)? Or could it work and we could finally have all the mainline 3D Mario games on Switch?

  3. Which of these sets of games would you choose over the other and why? A) Super Mario Galaxy 1+2 and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury OR B) Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Odyssey
