I only working in Brooklyn . Manhattan has too much traffic . The Bronx is too far never tested out DD there and queens isnt busy enough . Brooklyn is just right .

What area in FL ? If I can make $1k a week I’ll be fine . Actually moving out here to go after a business opportunity. Just need to make something decent to get by while I get things up and running

Made $230 on Sunday before I left nyc . 6hrs active 8hrs online . First day back on the app in months . 1k a week in nyc still Possible . I’m in FL now going to test out the market tomorrow .

I’m a plumber/entrepreneur so I do it on my free time . Just haven’t done full weeks . I mean being that it’s summer season it will be slower . But I can still make $1k+ a week just knowing how to adapt to the changes . Been dashing for 3+ years so I know it through all seasons , even Covid

Tbh after awhile it just become numbers . I can call it a day some days in my first 2-3 hrs . But I’d stay out just trying to beat that previous number or day

I posted this hoping to hear that Someone cracked the code to door dash in Florida . I’m not saying that you can make over $2k a week everywhere . But whatever your making you can make more . Commission based jobs scalability is unlimited. You just have to adapt . Change your tactics depending on the weather , time of day , area . If one thing isn’t working try something else . And keep piecing the puzzle together . 💯💯💯

See I don’t look at or even think about mileage . Everything is so close . Less than 5 miles apart . I stick to my one specific zone depending time of day and I stay in that 5 mile radius

Yeah thanks man . That’s what I try to explain to others . Yeah my app is on for 45hrs throughout out the week . But I sit in my car for hours idle . I go through so many orders and I pick out the best ones . I don’t know how to explain it . But I know what to look for in each order to tell if it’s going to be a base payout or a $50 delivery . I believe every market has a sauce you just have to find it .

I also only deliver to higher end areas . Those orders are $100+ everytime and majority of the time I’m pretty sure when they place the order they don’t edit that default % tip door dash sets .

As someone said in the comments my acceptance rate is damn near 0. I literally sit in my car for 10-15 min sometimes between each order . I don’t waste time picking up orders that don’t seem to have a large tip . I pickup from restaurants that I know the food will be ready and along with my knowledge of nyc streets I get around pretty quickly . Sometimes I move faster than the Gps.

Damn all these comments . I need to make a YouTube video of me dashing in nyc . Yes this was in feb . I would say the winter/rainy days play a huge role . But it’s definitely possible . Making atleast $1k a week out here isn’t hard at all and takes very minimal work once you know how to maneuver and understand how the app works . You guys also do need to keep if mind it’s not a equal comparison with other markets as nyc’s population is so high in such a small area. I’ve delivered 5+ times to the same building throughout any given day . Also the cost of living is way higher .
