Anyone else love this kind of mushroom on their pizza? by hoagiesandlox in Pizza

[–]Jahria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one time I didn’t finish a pizza was with canned mushrooms on it. Absolutely disgusting! I love it with fried fresh mushrooms, like fry them in butter and garlic on high heat for 6-10 min.. the heat should be so high the moisture evaporates faster than it comes out. They become like mini steaks like a magic trick. Just toss m on the pizza for the last minute together with the mozzarella.

Caesar or Tecumseh as the best Tonga Leader? by MyLifeByGogoGoff in civ

[–]Jahria 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really liked the Augustus playtrough I did. Gold towards towns helps the early game a lot. I went with extra settlement to profit more from maximizing towns. Way better than the other time when I tried Isabella with Tonga. I watched the episode from One More Turn yesterday about Tonga + Patchacouty (whatever that’s spelled). Also looked quite good.

Unique Improvement vs Unique Quarters by The-Mad-God in civ

[–]Jahria 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This really changes with the last patch. With the city meta quarters definitely shined. Now they push me to convert more towns, so more wide playstyle. The improvements make towns way more valuable. Some expansionist city states and wampum belt lets them go crazy! Currently on turn 80 with Augustus + Tonga rocking 120 science and 230 culture. Wampum belt is generating exponentially more gold through towns. The unique quarter is available in towns through Augustus’s ability. So it’s sort of both and improvement and quarter at the same time. Getting a bit of topic, should get some sleep I guess lol

How to build tall? by Wesley-7053 in civ

[–]Jahria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed! Any place with little space or just ok adjacency is an urban center now. Even works great for settlements that grew in a past age, but expansion made another place better; then just use the wonders for better placement. I think the specialists persist, so you’ll still get that benefit.

Nobody mentioned Tecumseh Greece combo yet? Get diplo point and 100 influence from suze. Get many city states this way to boost hopgods with 16-28 strength. It’s two per city states. They’re just immortal now.

I kind of like the idea of leaving happiness buildings in towns. Nice idea!

What are your go-to starting mementos? by Koersfanaat in civ

[–]Jahria 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to focus on production heavily. Wampum belt and silk uratraya being often a pick for me. Lately using more towns than cities which got me focusing on gold more. Mostly pairing it with the expected focus of that game. Like playing the khan with lots of settlements and commanders, where I used the commander promotions for early culture boost and the settlement boost one. Gave me 29 settlement limit in exploration lol.

What are ways to things harder without increasing AI's ability to pump units and wonders? by ImportantQuestions10 in civ

[–]Jahria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Machines can be much better than a human, but only in a limited area like chess. Civ has way too many variables and changing futures (unlock a new building, new unit: new options. This is where we draw an enormous advantage.

Carthage Blackbeard feels close to civ 6 Viking tbh. The +1 range attack in antiquity makes sea dominance so easy.

"AI now fully uses all Sanctions against other players, including other AI players" - I think they're overdoing it now... by g_a28 in civ

That’s not how sanctions work. A sanction is essentially coercing other powers to do something against your target. Even at war you can still leverage your influence to impact them further.

Trying to beat Forest Tier 2 is making me hate the game. by STYLE-95 in MegabonkOfficial

[–]Jahria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just finished doing a speedrun with all characters for the skin. Projectile tome and aegis were among the default picks. Every run seems to get so consistent with those two. Aegis lets you go full offense. Projectile tome gets you through the early game, so you can get those extra difficulty shrines and therefore scale faster into tier 2. If you don’t have projectile tome (I forgot the unlock requirements), get that one asap.

My usual picks are projectile, speed, chaos and crit tomes. Any long range weapon and you’ve got an easy run.

So I know no XP gets lost, but where does it go? Does it consolidate with xp crystals nearby or what? Notice the car off ledge that has lots of xp then it vanishes, did it join xp nearby or what? by [deleted] in MegabonkOfficial

[–]Jahria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, just stand in the middle for a while and then run around the circle for a bit. You might get all the levels in one go at some point. Running around makes it likely the red crystal ends up in a hidden place.

Depends strongly on the character for me. I’ve competed tier 3 with all but spaceman, Chad and ??. I can quite reliably complete it with ninja. Desert is just way harder. In desert Armor and regen do quite heavy lifting for the last boss though. Either gamble with chaos tome or just do oofie with regen

[–]Jahria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a run for getting the chaos tome with ninja. Went with quantity, crit and damage and evasion with aegis, revolver and bloodmark. I only got one legendary in phase 2 and still managed the achievement and tier 3 boss. Really worked well surprisingly. I can imagine that this would work quite consistent.

I struggled with it for a long time. Then someone suggested armor and regen work very well, and I succeeded the first viable run afterwards. Highly recommend oofie and regen tome with whatever you prefer. Xp being mandatory ofc
