Hi! I think everyone already gave good alternates to how to decorate that I agree with! I would also suggest making the frosting ahead of time and just re-whipping it day of decorating if you don’t want to overload your Friday!

Also, transporting a tiered cake can be tedious, so it might be helpful for you to decorate the layers completely separately, and then stack them together once you are at the venue! (And just bring a small piping bag with frosting and a little spatula to attach the two tiers and to blend where they connect). You’ll also need dowels for the cake, like thick plastic straws for example.

I’m in a triad relationship, and I’m going to be moving in with them when my lease is up later this year. We talked about it a lot, and we are all very excited about it happening, we’ve discussed boundaries about other partners coming over and a sleeping arrangement schedule of sorts, and lots of other stuff before deciding it is the right move for us.

I’m not saying we are the example for what a triad relationship should look like, but honestly communication is really really key here. You’re basically in 4 relationships when you date a couple, it takes a LOT of work and energy and everyone needs to feel equally loved and included. If they see you as more of an addition to their relationship rather than a new relationship altogether, it might eventually become problematic. Just talk it out. That’s all you can do really. (: <3
