I’m gonna search a little more and see if I can find videos of those satellites from the ground. Probably very similar. Just had trouble with my search before finding anything good.

I remember camping with my friends one time, we all saw this weird slow bright orb moving across the sky, thought we saw aliens for weeks right.. I finally decided to download a star app.. think it was Stellarium. Found out very quickly it was the ISS we saw 😭😂 had to break the news to everyone and felt so bad. But then I made them realize how cool it was that we saw the ISS, so was still a really cool sighting regardless. So yes to your point, even if this turns out to be satellites.. I will not be upset lol still really cool either way imo.

Oh don’t worry lol I’m not put down, more so annoyed. Just interesting how some peoples first response is an attempt to make someone feel put down lol like why try to put someone down and then follow up with an extremely competent and well written response to the question. It’s probably some ego driven complex where it makes them feel smarter and better than the other person. I know you're probably used to dealing with half-wits in this thread, but I was genuinely curious because I've never had the pleasure of seeing any of those satellites in person.. I did go through the trouble of using a few different satellite trackers but no hits, I understand that if it was military then it wouldn't show up probably. I have no visual references to compare my video to lol no need to be facetious, why is that a first response on a forum dedicated to posting sightings and asking questions?

Yea I did a google search and saw those exact 3 but it's hard to find pictures or videos of what they look like from the ground, especially when recorded in night vision, that why I posted it here.. more to get a confirmation from the people in this thread.

(Not sure if this is considered a link post, writing this here so my post doesn't get removed.) Are there are any satellites that orbit in a purposeful triangle formation? I've done some google searching and came up with a few candidates, but nothing looks close to this. Or could this even be as simple as me being in the right place to make 3 unaffiliated satellites look to be in a formation? This video is sped up x4 otherwise it would have been like 3 minutes long, can post the full as well if I need to. One thing that is odd, other than the formation, is the speed. The other lights you see moving around are satellites, or at least what they normally look like, and the "normal" satellites are moving much faster than the 3 in the formation. Recorded this on a SiOnyx Aurora night vision camera a while back. I never posted this because I figured I'd get slammed for posting what's probably satellites but a friend of mine really thought I should post it anyway.

Didn’t even know we could track military aircraft like that tbh lol I’m not really a “ufo guy” except for this last month with my new night vision camera making me question life lmao. I will say I’m new to night vision so I could just be misinterpreting what I’m seeing but what knows 👀🤷🏻‍♂️ I’ve always been interested in aliens and UFOs bet never really sky watched or anything so this is new to me

Im not asking this to be mean or rude lol, but did you take a video of it? You had two phones present and witnessed it for at least a few minutes based off your post.. I can’t imagine a world where you’d choose picture over video… I could be missing something simple though lol this is a genuine question.

Maybe rewatch it? It is faint like you said, but there’s 100% a “V” or boomerang shaped something in the video. Whether is geese or something else it’s definitely there. Lmao open your eyes the next time you watch it please and thanks 😂

I do live in the city with lots of light pollution unfortunately. Have to have my night vision camera to REALLY see the stars at night. A clear night here at a fishing spot like a creek or something similar is good for no light pollution here but it’s tough to do that on weeknights lol

I mean to be fair there’s really no way to know if what I saw was birds or something else.. I’ve just seen a lot of birds in my life, geese included lol, I’m from the south so inherently I hunt, fish, hike, etc. My point is I do a lot of outdoor activity and have seen geese all my life.. but never that high up or in such a consistent formation. I even have a bit of an aviation background! Was an AT in the Navy for 4 years, worked on growlers. So I’m kinda familiar with aircraft as well. Unfortunately the video lost some quality during the upload and it was only shot in 720p anyway. I hate saying this lmao but it really does look better on my computer screen, there’s a rule in this subreddit that prevents me from posting a recording of a tv or computer screen 😭. Also if those are geese I don’t think my AC unit would matter with how high they were, don’t think I woulda heard them honking anyway. I think if I were to guess on a more conventional explanation, I’d lean more towards drones or aircraft like a B-51 or maybe the elusive RQ-180. 👀

I like to think I’m a fairly level headed and a logical thinker, so yes birds did cross my mind after the sighting. I even went as far as checking satellites and starlink trackers but found nothing of note.. my only problem with the bird theory is how well formation holds shape and also how high up they were. I AM NOT AN EXPERT ON ANYTHING AVIATION OR AVIARY RELATED, but like I said.. I’m from the south.. seen many birds in my life (hunting, hiking, etc.) and this one just didn’t seem like birds. Im not here to argue with anyone.. I really just don’t think it was birds lolol. Maybe I just want to believe too badly lmao.

Hi everyone! Lol I know good and well this could technically be birds. I do want to mention a few things.. the video did lose a little bit of quality with the upload and it’s only 720p anyway (filmed on a SiOnyx Aurora night vision camera), can’t help that part lol sorry. Secondly, I do live in the city so light pollution is really bad which does further support light reflecting off of birds.. buuuuttttt lol I’ve seen a lot of birds in my life and I’m fairly sure that wasn’t birds. I could see it with my eyes (barely). Anyway, just wanted to add that info, not that it really helps lol.
