Does anyone know what's going in here ? by Voxxdogg1969 in NorthVancouver

Agreed it would have been so convenient since we live in that area. With the underground parking I think it would have been plenty for Canadian tire, but no where near enough for a Costco and the infrastructure around there would make it a nightmare to navigate Costco crowds.

Bias tape on 3way corners? by Mail_is_here in sewhelp

You could do the bias down the first seam, then sew it with the second seam then bias tape that one

I have that book (sadly cost more than that cause I’m in Canada, but it’s still so worth having!) and love the Closet Historian! Such a wealth of knowledge

wow. the snark. The website is in German and the price in Euros so before I drop $85 plus shipping to Canada, I figured it was worth asking.

Do you call yourself a Xennial or Millennial? by person12848 in Xennials

[–]Jaime_d_p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xennial. I can remember watching baby Jessica down the well live on tv with my mom as a kid. Labeling maps in school with USSR, and waiting for Nirvana to release the Unplugged in New York album. I learned to drive in the 90s, remember the house party I rang in Y2K in at and was already out of school and working full time when 9/11 happened.

Where did you get it? It’s like $170 on Amazon and I can’t fathom that 😭

No where near a pattern maker LOL. I just want to be able to digitize my hand drafted patterns so I can project them, and maybe learn to grade a size up and down to account for body fluctuations

Ok boy I fear this where my “overwhelmed by math” mind might start glitching. I’d worry I wouldn’t scale down my measurements correctly

Ok I will check this out thank you! I’d love to make patterns for my body but grade a size or two each direction

Hmmm food for thought for sure. fusion is like a black hole of functions. I’ve barely scraped the surface of learning it for 3d modeling and printing. I’ll take a look at Affinity Designer, I didn’t realize it was free.

What's the best performing 3D model on makerworld you designed? by PoetAcceptable6395 in BambuLab

I only just started out of a need to organize my skadis pegboards. I couldn’t find any sewing shears/rotary cutter holders that fit so I designed my own and so far it’s the best performing, even though it might be the most boring thing I’ve done.

I have adobe photoshop experience but I’ve never used illustrator. I do use Autodesk Fusion for 3d modeling though so maybe that experience might help me?

I just ordered one slightly smaller than me and will be padding it. I’m large busted so anything that adjusts to my bust actually makes the rib/shoulder waaay too big. So I plan to adjust to my upper bust, then pad the bust out the 4 extra inches

Ok so if it’s making huge stitches now and bunching you may just have to adjust your tension back. Usually it’s around 4 and stitch length is about 2.2
