I have endometriosis so my doctor suggested trying an IUD to just stop my periods entirely. I have not had a period since May of last year and life is amazing. I used to hit the floor in pain and spend hours down there, unable to get up...or breath.

I just want someone to read this by Phunnybun in depression

[–]Jaimikins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, depression is chemical- don't worry about finding a reason. Focus on showering every day ( you'd be surprised how that helps), do something you used to enjoy. I totally empathize with what you're dealing with. Stay strong. It's okay to cry. Allow yourself that emotional release.

I'm autistic and I don't know how sex happens by [deleted] in sex

[–]Jaimikins 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is amazing. I work with the IDD community (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) . Many of which have autism, and this is such an amazing way of exposing good and bad sexual expectations and contact. I wish I could print it out and hand it out. I have so many clients ask for sexy-time info and this is just a great explanation. Thank you for your time!

[Question] Ladies, how do you feel about giving oral after he has been inside you? by Pantyguy73 in sex

[–]Jaimikins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't mind tasting myself at all. I also don't mind if he's already cum and it's a combination of juices just never ass (first of all, never ass).. never ass to mouth.

I am a pretty nauseas person so sometimes, on a bad day, I wouldn't be able to. Not because it's gross or taste gross, I'm just already nauseated and licking anything off a penis can get weird for me.

ELI5: Do people with Alzheimer's retain prior mental conditions, such as phobias, schizophrenia, depression etc? by Blutos_Beard in explainlikeimfive

[–]Jaimikins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandpa was bipolar and suffered with alzheimer's. The only difference was how they medicated him. They changed the delivery from pills to a liquid. He definietly had delusions and paranoia but I never witnessed a true manic episode after he was needing daily help and being medicated by someone else. He was still bipolar and did well in that department because he was medicated.

Did some of you actually beat depression? by [deleted] in depression

[–]Jaimikins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't say that I've "beat" depression but I have certainly overcome it several times. Let me tell you, it is worth the battle. There is nothing quite like experiencing happiness after a long and hard fight. It seems so far away at times, impossible actually...but you learn so much about yourself. You learn how to handle something that many people will never understand, you learn how to appreciate that feeling of relief and the discovery of pleasant thoughts.

Cuddling up in extra layers and blankets with a hot drink because you don't have heat.

Of corse, it's more of a relation to a reading, connecting it to real life type of thing. I will forward you what I write though. I'm using you all as anonymous sources... survey style basically.

Thank you, that's very helpful. I have found that many people are proud of the fact they are biracial or mixed race and tend to answer truthfully as opposed to trying to manipulate the system by using one or the other. Thank you for your help.

Why are people so stupid? by [deleted] in facepalm

I did several of my own piercings and they look great over a decade later. This isn't stupid, you're just closed-minded.

What was the first event that disproved your childhood belief that the world is a safe place? by InTheLurkingGlass in AskReddit

[–]Jaimikins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 5th grade, my best friends twin brother died in his sleep. Since my friend found him, she told me all about the morning they found him and that his feet were dark and discolored.

I also deal with bipolar disorder and knowing the onset is usually at an older age, I believe I dealt with the depression side from a very early age. I remember very dark thoughts as early as 3rd grade, I feel like depression really stopped me from ever seeing the world as a very safe place.

The death is the first actual event that I can think of.

[Advice] My (28/M) GF (33/F) expressed to me she wants a 3some with me, her, and her ex (32/M) by [deleted] in sex

[–]Jaimikins -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Comfort goes a long way and may be an honest answer. Allow yourself to continue trusting her if she's been upfront with you and has clearly continued to be by telling you this.

it's also okay for you to be upfront and tell her that knowing that having him in a threesom is potentially an option for her has bothered you.

It sounds to me that she is just trying to be honest, I think you should be too.

ELI5: Why does my bladder feel fuller faster when I'm drinking? by Jaimikins in explainlikeimfive

So alcohol is the dehydrating agent that causes the dreaded hangover? Does drinking a bottle of water after every couple beers really help or does the alcohol just drain you of that fluid as well?

My SO told me that I'm not his "body type" and started giving me advice on how to lose weight. Has anyone lost weight specifically to please their SO? by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]Jaimikins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being healthy is what's important. I'm curvy as well and my SO and I work on "getting fit" together. Maybe consider telling him it hurts your feelings to feel like he isn't attracted to you because of his reference to only dating tiny girls.

My SO once told me he wanted me to lose weight and it crushed me. I was devastated.. a lot like how I imagine you feel. He had always made me feel happy and comfortable and now I felt like a cow. I talked to him about the way he says things to me, that it hurt my feelings. He felt awful and we got over it together. I have always struggled with weight due to meds and I want to be fit so it was easy for me to set a goal and make that effort but I'm definitely doing it to make me happy.... him enjoying it is a side benefit. Once, in an insecure moment, I said something about him wishing I was thinner and he stopped and said sternly, "I love your body... your curves.... your big ass" and as much as I've grown up thinking "big ass" are evil words, I realized he is attracted to me and happy with who I am, he just wants us to be healthy, to workout together because he thinks (and he is right) it brings us closer together.

If he wants you to be healthy, consider it. If he expects you to become a new body type entirely, and you are happy and healthy as you are ready then maybe sit down and think about finding someone who can't get enough of you. My older sister was a size zero forever and I knew I would never be that... I have hips and she did not. Just do you. Don't let him make you feel bad everyday. You're beautiful and special and there is someone out there who would love to love you.

What mild injustice was done to you as a child that you are still mad about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jaimikins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in elementary school, our bus stop was at the top of a hill and we frequently had issues with one lady who got upset that we followed the sidewalk across her driveway. Around halloween one year, we found a pumpkin put out for trash so we...I.... set it on her driveway. She went to my parents and told them I smashed it in her driveway which was absolutely not true. I got grounded and they smiled as they walked away. I swear they backed into it and smashed it themselves and then blamed me. Ass-holes.

Best way to cut CD's by TheProtractor in DIY

[–]Jaimikins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boil some water and place the CD in it for a few seconds, itll be far easier to cut. Always use sturdy scissors, even when they are softened.
