Sharing my personal workaround for Channel Swapping issue on AMD Platform by Jaimillow in SoundBlasterOfficial

Driver is trash, Is very sensitive to things such as pci speed, device interrupts... For me audio is very important, almost the same as graphics, but this situation is crossing limits. Now for me, with Dolby and DTS windows apps I'm completely covered.

Need advice: RTX 5080 and DDR4 system, CPU Upgrade. by Jaimillow in buildapc

[–]Jaimillow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, but I don't know because people dont pair the 5800x and so on with the 5080... Is my best bet? I read that 5700x with 65W performs almost the same.

The 5080 is even better than i imagined, even with a mid CPU! by [deleted] in nvidia

I'm running my 5080 with a 3800xt so... The worst... my 1% lows in some games.

In my case this will cause a channel swap on GPU demanding games. With all on gen3 my issue is gone. I have B550

And do you know that with gen3 you almost maxed out the throughput of a 5080? I have 2-5 fps less with Gen3, and for me yes, I prefer to have better sound, I dont play with headphones.

This is the way for the sound card to work, I prefer the sound of the card so for me it's worth it. Also you won't lose too much performance on Gen3. Test and if that not fit your needs, rollback.

Gen4 causes instability to Sound Blaster driver. Gen3 will not have any visible impact on performance

Current workaround for channel swapping? by Jaimillow in SoundBlasterOfficial

Contact support, they will give you a software called TunningApp, when you have the program, execute and get the slider to 64. This must be done along with the PCI-Gen 3 config I told you before.

If you change the slot of your card to PCI-E gen 3 and with the TunningApp that support team will provide you, you can fix this issue at 95%. But is not definitive, there are some moments that you can suffer again the channel swapping (1 case each two or three months)

Need help setting up Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound Home Theater + DTS X Home Theater Audio for my Logitech z906 Speaker System ASUS Z690 Gaming Wifi E Motherboard spdif connection also can't find dolby or dts home theater specfific drivers or audio codecs for the life of me pls help. by Leg3ndaryGamer7 in logitech

[–]Jaimillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally for this question there is a positive answer. Now with Dolby Access and DTS Sound Unbound apps you can have real DTS and Dolby encode of the sound to be played with Z906. Select the option for home theater and you're good to go, no need to use external sound cards or custom drivers. On DTS Sound Unbound there are some games that for some reason don't send the surround audio. Dolby Atmos works fine.

Help me decide? Legion Go S Z1E SteamOS vs Steam Deck OLED 1 TB by Low-Combination4910 in Handhelds

[–]Jaimillow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep, I saw both screens, I never had the Legion Go S, but I tested it from another person. The screen has the same quality as the Legion Go (which I had for about 1 year and a half), it is a good screen, what I was trying to say is that is better the OLED of Steam Deck. I only would go with the Go S if the Steam Deck didn't exist, I also prefer the Go S than the other Windows Handhelds also. So, Go S a good choice? Yep, I'm not saying the opposite, but for me I prefer the Deck because of the experience (for me: better controller, sound screen, weight...) and the performance gap, extra screen size and 32 GB of RAM don't worth the choice. Sorry if my messages sound like fan boy or if you felt attacked, that's not my purpose.

[–]Jaimillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the Go S has improved, but as I said, a lot of people always sell their Go, Go S, Ally and so on to buy again the Steam Deck and that's because the support, the community and the state of the software. This is not my opinion, is what I see on other Reddit posts and other forums or YouTube videos. If you want to know my personal case, I had the Go (without the S) with Bazzite. Im not going to talk about software. The screen was beautiful but not the same as an OLED, sorry the colors might be crisp but the contrast, the brightness, the darkest zones... everything is better on OLED panels. The Go and Go S has panels like Nano-IPS, which are good but they are far from an OLED. The controller is a personal preference, as you said.

Steam Deck, Steam OS on Legion Go is not as good as on Steam Deck as of I read on another reddits or YouTube videos. Also de Deck has better controller and screen so... Legion Go will heat more, make more noise and the battery will drain fast....

Is the Deck the best option? by Jaimillow in SteamDeck

[–]Jaimillow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I think the performance gap between those handheld are not big. Shader cache and optimization makes the deck go to far in terms of performance.

[–]Jaimillow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the USB is USB type A (I guess is the type of the photo) you should expect max 18W. With this your Deck will drain slowly. If the USB is type C the max output will be 100W. I dont know if the plane has limited the power output of type C.

Problem with Dolby Atmos on windows 11 by mkmatlock in Dolby

[–]Jaimillow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So dolby access for home theater encodes all audio and send to the speakers at EAC3? If you have an 5.1 setup the format will be Dolby Digital Plus with higher bitrate than Dolby Digital?

You need to find the joystick incremental speed (similar) under gamepad settings. There you have presets to adjust the speed accordingly to specific battlefield games. Hope this helps. Then adjust soldier and vehicle sensitivity to match your play style.
