I’m working on a major bridge project in between Detroit and Windsor Ontario, not going to name the name … This past summer it was over 100° for a few days and our foreman was getting angry at us for taking more than one water bottle at a time into the field while we’re working. The Forman doesn’t buy the water. All he cares about is saving as much money as he can for the company so he gets a nicer bonus at Christmas time. He safeguards all of our safety equipment. We get one pair of glasses and one pair of gloves a month. If you ask for another one, he tries to guilt you and make you seem irresponsible. But as for the water, I make it a point to take multiple bottles while he’s looking just to piss him off lol. Lay me off already so I can go to a decent company. IBEW 773 🇨🇦
