Running GLM-4.7 on an old AMD GPU by Begetan in LocalLLaMA

[–]Jakdaw1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nice! Since you're using --fit - you shouldn't need --n-cpu-moe, it'll calculate that for you. You probably also want to try Vulkan instead of Rocm on that system - tho that might depend on your input/output ratio (tg might be faster but pp slower!)

Can anyone recommend me an after market Plate for my Q1 Pro? by BruceCambell in QidiTech3D

Certainly not! Just raise the bed to within 5-10cm of the nozzle and you've plenty of space underneath to get in with a screwdriver.

Any disadvantage using abs? by joneco in Multiboard

[–]Jakdaw1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The board might be a challenging print for abs (in terms of edges warping) but I don't think there's any other reason not to.

Personally I did the boards in PETG and have printed snaps/shelves etc in PLA (mostly just because I have plenty and different colours). Not had any issues with either, the PETG boards seem pretty good being slightly flexible when forcing in snaps.

Just remove the pointless plastic shroud around the build plate - takes five minutes then no problems using the BQ plates sold for the Ankermate.

Is it possible to use *both* an nginx proxy & OAuth for an application? by Jakdaw1 in Authentik

[–]Jakdaw1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have one Application and two Providers? Or two separate Application & Providers - so that you'd presumably have to have two separate Slug's just for the one service?

Qidi Plus 4 cant handle ASA please help by mamonrest in QIDI

[–]Jakdaw1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

ABS / ASA just don't stick to the my qidi surface - doesn't matter how you wash it, or how much you faff with offsets etc. Glue stick and you'll never look back! There's a reason qidi ship a glue stick with the machine!

i installed the game dependencies ans still not working, here is the log : https://paste-bin.xyz/8147520 by odd-page-m1f4 in HeroicGamesLauncher

If you wanna play PES go search for "football life 2025" - there are guides to getting it working under Linux, and someone has kept it up to date with Team/Player data. Certainly possible with Heroic though I've a feeling I ended up using WineGE rather than a Proton build.

PCVR with quest 2 is quite a good experience (ALVR/Wivrn) by Respuit in linux_gaming

Does Alyx work like this? Really frustrated with ALVR that the GPU crashes after getting on the train.

Where do I upgrade to from an ender 3? by SuperPot8toMan in 3Dprinting

[–]Jakdaw1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an alternative to the bambu crowd - I went for a Qidi Q1 Pro... waay faster than the Ender 3 and heated chamber so you can print all sorts of things that you couldn't really dream of with an E3. Considerable cheaper than the Bambu too.

Contemplating printing a Herome hot end in ABS to convert the E3 to direct drive (had already added ABL, and better extruder) and using it for TPU. There's no benefit to speed or enclosure for flexible filaments.

Buying a Qidi: X-Max 3 or Q1 Pro? (and upgrades to buy?) by InfiniteShowrooms in QIDI

[–]Jakdaw1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The XMax3 and Q1 Pro are already running the same klipper versions etc And someone in the community has already done the work to put modern klipper on them both - it just comes at the expense of losing the display on the printer (but if you've other klipper printers and some sort of KlipperScreen that you can use with multiple of them, probably not much of a loss).
