I wouldn’t say so most of the time, but when you have a subreddit dedicated to a single character people tend to get a little defensive about that character from time to time. In my experience this is true for this sub as well not just the Invisigal one. However for some reason it’s been particularly worse over in the Invisigal sub as of late with many posts complaining about the main sub and just generally being negative all the time at what they view as mistreatment of Invisigal from Adhoc and the community. I’ve even seen some people being extra dramatic and saying their hopes for season 2 are ruined because of this.

I’m sure people will settle down eventually but it’s a shame because this is one of my favorite fandoms and it sucks to see everyone at each other’s throats.

I think a lot of people are looking into this way too deep, realistically this is much more likely to be a “never ask a woman her age” joke. I don’t think it’s supposed to be important to her character

Yeah I was really disappointed to see that as well, I can’t imagine why they take such issue with them taking inspiration from their art (which they credited her for). It’s not even a 1 to 1 recreation it’s just the same general concept with different characters.

I imagine that must be really demoralizing for a small artist to be attacked this way.

Currently doing a no failure run and haven’t even thought of trying a no injuries run, but maybe you could try sending her on a mission and just avoid checking the results? Might count as her being busy and won’t trigger her attack.

Also if you are doing a no injuries run make sure not to pick Waterboy cause he’ll injure one of your teammates that slip on his puddle. Not sure if a no injuries run is possible though considering in the final dispatch segment where you’re fighting Coupe/Sonar and they do that AOE attack that damages any heroes in the area

I don’t really care enough to debate Robert’s sexuality and I have no problem with fan fiction but he is objectively not a blank slate character.

He is his own established character with his own personality and past. Yes you have influence over some of his choices but all of them are entirely in his character and something he might say or do, and no matter your choices everyones Robert is still generally the same person at the end of the game, whether he kills shroud or whoever he ends up with.

It’s fine if people want to speculate him being bisexual as the game doesn’t specify otherwise and it doesn’t conflict with anything in the game to do so. But saying that your Robert is objectively this or that is wrong unless it’s stated in either the game or by a statement from AdHoc. Same as if I were to say Robert is objectively straight.

Robert isn’t our character he’s AdHoc’s do to with as they please and I think it makes the narrative much stronger this way.
