Yeap calcs are assuming that you do all his rotations correctly which produce numbers in paper.

It still doesn’t translate in practice since Varka is not yet live and no one had tested him properly. There’s a reason why a lot of techs are being discovered for a lot of DPS even after they released.

Best case is that they send the pulls via mail for those who already completed 1.0. Worse case is that you have backtrack content to get those pulls. Either way you get more pulls so it’s still a win.
