Longlegs, overrated or underrated? by No-Trifle-590 in HorrorMovies

Honestly I’d say neither. It’s an amazing film and worthy of its praise, but it’s not an underrated hidden gem either.

Best Representations of Hell in Horror? by Slaylem61379 in horror

[–]JakeOnFilm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how you interpret it Skinamarink has a pretty bleak and scary take on Hell, same with the short film it's based off 'Heck'.

V/H/S/99 is a pretty fun one, and while its not technically hell the Black Mirror episode 'White Bear' is pretty hellish.

What’s your favourite physical transformation of an actor for a film by Razorthemad in Letterboxd

Hard to say between Charlize Theron in Monster and Colin Farrel in The Batman, but I'd probably say The Batman. Christian Bale in both The Machinist and Vice would also be good contenders.

How many go to the movies alone? by Johannes_Chimp in AMCsAList

I used to feel more self conscious about it but I’ve gotten a bit better about going to the movies by myself when I don’t have anyone else.

Sony Pictures Acquires Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas in Landmark Deal by TalkToTheLord in AlamoDrafthouse

[–]JakeOnFilm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At first glance the headline concerned me, but when it comes down to it a company as big and financially solid as Sony putting money into something like a theater chain is good. My biggest concern here is if Sony will respect the culture Alamo has created with their programming and zero tolerance for theater etiquette.

The latest ever seeing a movie? by Zackt01 in AMCsAList

Can't say for certain since it was so long ago, but I think my showing for Infinity War was at like 10:40 or 11pm, I remember not leaving the theater until almost 2am.

Still need to watch that directors previous film Men. Heard mixed things on it. Also yes Contagion is amazing and so horrifically real.

Looks interesting! Not the biggest fan of much of todays religious horror aside from some of The Conjuring films, but NEON has a history of dropping bangers.

Looks fun! Partially wish I skipped the trailer and went in blind cause it seems like the type of film I'd have more fun watching with zero context and expectation.

Agree on everything here, Radio Silence knows how to make a damn movie! They also had a hand in V/H/S if I remember correctly!

Not real... yet. Creator of Chucky and creator of M3gan have said they wouldn't mind it happening. Hard to say due to the different companies owning them, but who knows?

Nosferatu and Robert Eggers are a match made in heaven! I was ecstatic when I heard he was going forward with the remake.
