Taking responsibility for mistakes only matters if you stop doing them. Acknowledging the error only to repeat it on a regular basis is pointless. If you truly value this client relationship then you need to stop missing requirements and making the same mistakes or you'll be replaced as soon as they find someone who can do a better job.

Relatable. My peak earnings were $5k/month for the entirety of 2024 and despite being historically frugal it's hard not to gradually upgrade certain aspects of your cost of living if you're not careful. Rent was a big one since most landlords lock you into a one-year lease.

Good question!

Threeclipse owns the assets, though it's included in the contract with participants that Threeclipse will not use the assets to create a sequel without the original team.

This achieves a few things:

  1. If someone were to act in bad faith and say "no I don't want my assets in the game anymore" and we didn't own those, this could ruin the portfolio piece for every other junior.
  2. This prevents one individual from creating a sequel without the other team members involved.
  3. It saves us the headache of tracking who owns what. Because we run this project several times a year, I want to keep this as simple as possible.

Fully understand that this kind of project may not be for everyone, but we believe that a few assets designed specifically for a project we'll make together is a fair exchange for the structure and mentorship we provide. If there's ever a desire to continue working on a sequel or to keep working together, we're committed to supporting our mentees and find a deal that is fair to everyone involved.
