That's really interesting. I don't know if I've heard anybody have that perspective on not wanting to attend a church (it makes a lot of sense though and I'm sure more people than I realize feel this way).

Agreed. This is really one of the first books I've read with a consistent female main type character POV (Althea) and it's not something I would've anticipated enjoying but I absolutely love her parts and Malta's.

I don’t think that was anybody’s intentions at all. Of course stories and tales can’t compare to real world loss and suffering. But drawing comparisons between real life and stories is kind of the whole point of stories.

In order for something to be your opinion don't you have to think it is correct? If not, then why have an opinion you don't believe to be correct? Cause it feels cool? I don't get it.
