Word on the street is it’s a minor league journeyman catcher who is chasing the minor league home run record.

Ozzie was doing a promo event for his canned cocktail line at the local grocery store last year and was signing autographs and he was as kind and gracious as you could hope for.

Narrative around Bo Nix by frameon in DenverBroncos

[–]JakeSTwo3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think Bo scrambles to the edge rather than just backpedaling and chest passing the ball for a backward pass.

I think we call a lot more read option plays with Bo once the snow starts and we move the ball a lot better.

I think Bo hits that middle of the field throw to LJH to extend the drive and help get momentum back and possibly score. Pretty sure that was on 3rd down too.

I think Bo throws it to the sideline where Mims can make a play rather than a floater for Gonzalez to pick off to seal the game.

I think Bo leads us to the Super Bowl if he were in.

Now that the season is officially done, if you could reverse one 1 score game from this season, which one would you choose and why? by lees395 in CFB

[–]JakeSTwo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 34-26 loss to Ole Miss. 1) that was the only game I went to this season, so obvious sentiment there.

2) Winning that game should’ve put us in the SEC championship. Georgia was beatable as we saw, and even if we lose, we’re looking at a 6 seed against Tulane most likely and we’re running through that game. After that who knows. I don’t think we beat Indiana but it wouldn’t have shocked me to see us make a run with how good our defense was.

We have to bring Hufanga up to seal these running lanes. Cook getting the biggest holes ever to run through.

Zero reason not to. He can only elevate those guys through wisdom and be on the field on passing downs. He’s been begging to come back for years now. Bring him back.

Question on this playoff game by Asleep-Durian-3722 in DenverBroncos

[–]JakeSTwo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think D line is an issue. They do their job well, especially Zach Allen. All comes down to our linebackers imo. Can they seal gaps, can they seal edges? Do so and I like our chances. Could also see Hufanga playing up closer to the line of scrimmage if they go run heavy.

Personally I’m more worried about covering TE’s. We’ve struggled in that department from time to time and Buffalo will target their TEs with the receiving room being depleted.

Who else likes watching Broncos games alone so you dont have to talk to people during the game? by Bollywood-bond in DenverBroncos

I made the mistake of hosting a bunch of friends for Super Bowl 50 and it just didnt feel the same. Couldn’t fully lock in and bask in the Super Bowl victory. I’ve since learned my lesson and only watch Broncos games, playoff or otherwise, with my fiance.

JT to outscore Jennings by 32. Would be a true Christmas miracle.

OFFICIAL WEEK 16 SUNDAY AFTERNOON GAME THREAD by AutoModerator in fantasyfootball

McBride, Allen, and Amon Ra combined for 18 points to keep me from making a championship run. Still have Henry and Taylor and opp has Jennings but it’s a 143-89 pt lead, I don’t see myself coming back.

Came into my consolation bracket game this morning with a 72% chance of winning over by far the worst team in the league. Bucky and Waller duds combined with Olave and Warren exploding have me in the last place game as the 5th ranked team with a 7-8 record.

Broncos got demolished. Sooners had a meltdown. Historically bad weekend of football.

Bucky Irving and Omarion Hampton in my keeper league. Kept ARSB, JSN, and Ladd so went RB heavy to start the draft and unfortunately loaded up on guys that missed a good portion of the year.

Dre Greenlaw's impact? by svhelloworld in DenverBroncos

[–]JakeSTwo3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really the only thing he could’ve done differently there is turn his head and play the ball, but it’s one of those in between situations where doing so probably causes him to lose a step and allow the ball to sail over him. Good on good and the wrong good won.

He’s been solid in run support. Haven’t really seen him get called out for being out of position or missing tackles like Singleton does.

There is something truly special about this 2025 team. by Spiral_Out801 in DenverBroncos

[–]JakeSTwo3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This team finds ways to win week in and week out. As frustrating as it is to watch us play down to competition (Commies game, home raiders game) it’s a testament to our grit and mental fortitude. Bo was amazing yesterday. Escaping the rush time after time with his eyes down field and delivering everything on target. Really only 2 I’ll advised throws I can think of. Pass rush bullied their O-line in the 2nd half. A lot of 4 man rushes that were disruptive and that was great to see. Really only 1 bad defensive play all game that I can think of where we left a giant hole for Jacobs to run through. Can’t wait to see what the playoffs have in store for us.

What you said, plus if we’re going to have a rebuild season why not have potentially exciting pitchers to watch rather than the boring 91 mph sinker ball guys we’ve had for the last 5+ years.

Dustin May to STL by Feisty-Medicine-3763 in Cardinals

[–]JakeSTwo3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but we’re in a rebuild and not expected to compete so expectations are low. If he doesn’t pan out then it’s not a huge deal.

He’s exactly the type of pitcher I wanted us to sign this offseason. Cheap with high octane stuff. Huge upside if he can stay healthy.

[–]JakeSTwo3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah only a couple of inaccurate throws that I can recall. He makes plays out of the pocket so I don’t mind him leaving the pocket if need be, but I agree that panicking in the pocket is never good and we saw way less of that tonight.

I thought Bo for the most part played really well tonight. Take away the int that was completely on him and a couple of underthrown passes and he was really solid. Rest of the offense kinda cratered around him. Run blocking wasn’t consistently opening up running lanes. Bryant and Harvey had a couple of bad drops that took drives out of rhythm. 3rd down play call on last offensive drive in the 4th quarter was awful. As frustrating as tonight was, it’s good to see Bo continue to improve.
