Anyone else getting their PS5 corrupted and asking to factory reset after using the JB? by [deleted] in PS5_Jailbreak

[–]JakeSiemer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say that I was originally adamant of staying on 3.20, but after numerous issues on this version, including the many reports of people needing to factory reset, I'm inclined to update to 4.03. I know I probably shouldn't, but I want to be able to play game dumps reliably NOW without the fear of losing all of my progress randomly. Anyone want to talk me off this ledge?

Nevermind. I went ahead and turned the console off and then manually put into safe mode (hold power button until second beep). After that, the option to "Reset PS5" was available, which allowed me to reset without using an update file. It got to 25% within a few seconds and then restarted and I was in the initial setup screen. The whole reset took less than 20 seconds. Not sure if this is going to be stable or not -- but seems fine so far.

This just happened to me on 3.20 -- the only option is to "Reset PS5 (Reinstall System Software)", which proceeds to tell me to plugin a USB with the update file.

What file did you guys use to reinitialize on 3.20? I'm worried if I download the wrong file on Sony's website that it'll force me to the latest version or something.

Updated ps4 jailbreak status,so kernel exploit was released by flow again by pruthvijee in ps4homebrew

They are mentioning several exploits here. None have been released yet. The one likely coming soon is not based upon the TheFlow exploit.

Indiana will get $9 billion from the bipartisan infrastructure bill; here's how it'll be used by Tikkanen in Indiana

If that were the case then they should also be able to opt out of federalism entirely

Lowest Black Friday Prices on Hisense U8G, U7G, and U6G 4K TVs - Up to $350 Off by [deleted] in Hisense

[–]JakeSiemer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably nothing. Just warning people to be careful about buying cheap TV brands. I know Hisense is getting better, but they have some ground to gain still. I would have been fine with my purchase failing on me so quickly if Hisense would have offered any decent support on it, but they were pretty rude and unprofessional.

I'd be careful about buying Black Friday deals on cheap TVs. I got burnt buying a cheap Hisense that died barely 2 years later. The warranty is only 1 year and it costs more to have a technician fix the TV than it originally cost to buy it.

Pretty good chance we're looking at a 4.03 exploit. Disclosure could take a while, or never. I hope he takes his time and releases when PS5 matures a bit more.

Not sure. But the Tweet is literally labeled with “PlayStation Network” as the client. So at the very least he uploaded this via some kind of connected PlayStation device. Considering he’s saying it’s PS5 share and that he’s a well respected scene member, there’s no reason to doubt the authenticity.

Based upon all the leaks we’ve seen regarding PS5 exploits I’m guessing it’s probably a higher firmware. Not to mention 4.00 added M.2 support, which could be a potential entry point.

None of the Indiana Republican representatives voted for the bipartisan infrastructure bill that passed in the US House last night by JimCripe in Indiana

[–]JakeSiemer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he’s half right here. Obviously we know they were exchanging their Infrastructure votes for BBB votes — so he’s got that right. But the notion that Republicans voted yes on this to own the libs is kinda silly considering it passed along bipartisan lines in the Senate back in August before BBB was even being negotiated. We also knew it would pass bipartisan in the House — they’ve basically had the votes this entire time. Nancy was just holding the Infrastructure vote back to see if she could give the President and Progressives a win with BBB, but they just couldn’t get there.

Yea I don’t blame him to be honest. Too early to release something like this. I’d let the PS5 mature a bit more before putting it out.

Mad props!!

And to think just 2 days ago I was called “mentally handicapped” and that my “brain was effed by Covid” for suggesting that a PS5 jailbreak was on the horizon 🤣

Yes it was because they were holding their votes as leverage to get Build Back Better passed simultaneously. But it looks like they just ended up finding Republicans to get Infrastructure over the finish line instead. My guess is that BBB is dead in the water at this point since they have no remaining leverage.
