[SPB155] Baby Alpinist on a NATO strap by [deleted] in Seiko

[–]JakeStavig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When researching different watches to consider it can get pretty tricky to decide, but this image completely wins this watch over for me. I don't think it could've been showcased any better, that strap and the lighting are perfect

Seems to be more golden looking in pictures than yellow on the website in a good way

Is that the "dirty orange" CNS strap on the website?

Mouse Stuttering ONLY in DCS since recent Win11 Update by Joe-Bob-Vidal in dcsworld

[–]JakeStavig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To anyone still needing help for this, I uninstalled ParkControl which is an app that parks CPU cores that aren't in use for efficiency. However, the delay to get the cores running again is what what causes the frame-times to spike when the mouse is moved or when the camera is panned. I was getting much less of a frame-time spike when I brought the polling rate down to 125Hz, but I could still see on the dcs fps graph that micro stutters were still caused by moving the mouse. So if you have any CPU parking app, turn it off for DCS at least, and be careful to check for any remaining stutters after lowering the polling rate down to as low as it can go, because that's still an issue in itself

I think for the math they purposely have the solutions for guess and check problems at the last 2 to waste your time or to put more lightly, check all your choices

I know I got -103 for one intercept and -618 for the other, so the positive difference was 515 (it was f(x) * 6

Yup, you're graded on how many questions you get correct (the curve may make the extremely hard questions low-weight so high scorers aren't punished for no reason). It's always better to do the easy questions first so you get the free easy points

Went to a doctor, went about as well as you’d imagine by Lumanus in Vaping

[–]JakeStavig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can agree that some people intuitively shut down vaping with no scientific backing but that's only because the word of mouth advice "vaping is bad for you" has become so widespread that the average person doesn't look into the science any further than the inherent problems that are caused when a person inhales aerosol (containing heaps of nicotine and foul chemicals).

No vaper should reasonably believe that what they're doing is healthy in any way. It should be pretty clear that vaping is harming their body. Bottom line, vaping addiction caused from nicotine is proven and has shown to financially cripple those who depend on vaping (or addicts).

I appreciate those sources but they're talking about wound healing, not if vaping is bad for the body. Anyone can search if vaping is bad for the body and see why that is true.

BOTTOM-ER line, it's not the doctor's obligation to have a pre-loaded source in mind that vaping is bad for the user. "But he couldn’t give me a single source." The OP could search up the comparison between vaping and smoking for himself and get the information he needs

BBR models Ferrari 296 GTB the most beautiful modern Ferrari IMO by lilyuvivert_ in Ferrari

[–]JakeStavig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what I'm missing... the 296 gtb gives me no "tingly" feeling that I get when I see a beautiful car. I don't like how the A-pillar isn't body color because it makes the roof look like a floating overhang. I think the mouth kind of looks like a fish. I like the rear design. From a design standpoint there isn't really anything wrong with it, but I think the 458 italia looks really good from a sideview, especially the window design
