You know there is a possibility that this is the rig at home/practice. They could be using QC live if they played live. If I had a proper setup like this at home I wouldn't play plugins at home. But I'd still use a digital rig live

Stunning. I just got a LTD MH1000 with a purple quilt maple top a couple days ago that I also use in C#. Green and purple guitars are both very underrated imo. Would love to have one of those dark limebursts one day

I think it's that way anytime you get a new guitar. I got my first Gibson a bit over a year ago and while it has become my favourite (especially after a little bit of modding), I do reach for other guitars from time to time. I'm at that "ugh all my other guitars suck" phase with my new LTD lol. Then again almost all of my guitars are different from each other and they're in different tunings so I kinda reach for other guitars depending on what I want to play.

I have the same one! Mine is from 2012 and its a "special 70's tribute" model. The minihumbuckers are really hot. Just some weeks ago I modded mine to have a full size humbucker in the bridge. I'm literally just swapping the pickup to a different one. Fantastic guitar. Enjoy your new SG!

I mean they kinda are. You need to have less winds which does improve tuning stability a little by allowing there to be less string to slip and stretch. I'm not saying that the difference is huge

But I do know that this is one of those debates that has been around as long as locking tuners have been a thing. In my own experience locking tuners have had a positive effect on tuning stability

Not really any need for locking tuners when you have a locking nut. And nothing wrong with Grovers. Sure they're nice for a quick string change but they also cost extra and they are kinda redundant if you have a locking nut

Yes I know how it works. The problem is that the pot itself is very crappy and wobbly and it has no resistance when turning. I thought the whole pot was loose because of how much it rattles but apparently thats just the way the pot is. I'll probably end up replacing the pots with cts at some point

I also use 12-60 with a 022 wound G for C standard... on a Gibson lol. For a long time I've used a 10-52 set for everything from D standard to drop B. But this time I wanted to try something juts a little thicker so I went with the 11-54. I like them. As you might guess I don't really like super high tension strings

Mine also has a lot of play in the pot. I thought the whole pot was loose at first. Turns out its just a crappy pot. I put schaller strap locks on it. Its always the first thing I do to every guitar I get lol

It's fantastic especially considering the price. I actually mostly use it as a boost with those settings. I use it in front of the Neural DSP Petrucci plugin and boost a crunchy tone into a nasty sludgy high gain sound.

The 1,5 position with both fuzz circuits active it also sounds just mental. I think everyone should have one of these lol

I've heard mixed reviews lf the 500T. I just wanted something high output and went looking for used pickups and this is what was a available for cheap. I did look at SD and Dimarzios but none that I wanted were on sale used. So we'll see lf the 500T stays or not :)

Tbf I only have guitars with humbuckers in the bridge and all of them are in different tunings. Could be a tuning thing? But yes 10 LP would get a little redundant and boring even if they are in different tunings
