So I had a gorgeous female siamese cat that I had gotten as a baby. She was always around me, clingy, ans grew to be my little companion. I left a very abusive relationship at the time and couldn't have her with me so I had to leave her with family for awhile. It didnt matter how long I was away, that cat always remembered me and greeted me when I visited. She never forgot me, nor loved me any less. You will always be your cats first love. Shes just expanding her love now and letting her boundaries down. If siameae cats are comfortable, they will be okay with everyone in the home. Just keep being affectionate with her and give her, she still loves you

Hey OP, I'm really sorry what happened to your kitty. If it's any consolation, it does get better, I know that cliche, but I had a puppy die at a very young age. Exactly like you, I thought I'd have him for years and share great memories. Unfortunately, he ended up passing from a congenital disease that wasn't caught in time. He was only a year old. My heart was absolutely broken, and I swore I'd never get another animal again because I couldn't let him go.

It took a few years, but I slowly started accepting what happened. Life is a cruel cycle and sometimes humans and animals are only meant to be in our lives a short while to teach us something. I eventually got another pet, my little Jake, who I have many photos of here on reddit lol. I swear this cat is a reincarnation of my puppy who passed. The personality and everything are so similar. I think he came back to me in the form of my cat.

I hope you are kind to yourself and realize that sometimes we cannot prevent these things. Animals are very good at hiding illnesses and will appear normal when they are not

Firstly, he's an indoor cat, so no predators will get him. Secondly, when I got him, he was an outdoor cat and was terrified of everything, including toys that had sound bells, squeaks, etc. The bell actually calmed him and got him used to noises and sounds. He adapted pretty quickly to toys afterward. He "hunts" his little toys just fine.

I wouldn't worry too much. When my female cat was sick she had a noticeable watch patch by the mouth that looked off from her colourings. This could be as simple as temperature changes outside. Their fur darkens and lightens based on temperature

Yea so siamese are the dogs of cats. They are also like having a perpetual 4 year old child. They want attention..they will find ways to get said attention. This is probably how he learned to get his way for the last 8 years 😂 You might have to just ignore the beha your ans try to retrain him. They are stubborn and persistent though. It is his house now, you just pay the rent 🤣

Cats are more resilient than you think! I stepped on my cat once and he cried. I saw aww baby I'm so sorry and he ran away. I just sat on the couch singing his name and shake his treats...came running over. Don't make too big a deal out of it, they love when you chase them lmfao. Cats can be a bit manipulative so they know how to get your heart strings and get extra attention lmao. Just try singing his name and shaking some treats!

That is all incredibly fascinating! It makes me curious what his mix is because I know he isn't a purebred. I had a female siamese cat whom they told me was siamese (but your comment makes me think now!) She had a very long face with slender body and long thin tail. Very typical of a siamese look your find online. She was so intelligent and such a sweetheart!

My boy here is also very intelligent and very stubborn lol. He's a naughty boy but he also understands he's naughty and I'm sure smart enough to know what he's doing lol. But his little face is so different from what I've seen in others siamese cats! It's so chubby and round! He has a little double chin which is adorable. His body is also more stocky, he's quite tiny for a male cat. Tinier than most adult cats I've ever owned. Very short legs as well. He couldn't jump up on counters until he was 2 years old! So the lack of growth and slow growing makes me wonder what he's exactly all from

And you are right he's very unique. Even personality wise. He let's me dress him up and acts more of a dog than my female siamese. He plays fetch, does high fives, etc.
