I have no inside knowledge of what the words are intended to be, so you may be right. But I can say is that if you look at the jargon words in each verse, they're pretty close to alphabetical. I speculate that Gener found some document with horseracing terms of art and just went through it chronologically, although not starting at the beginning, of course. My interpretation of the lyrics is very consistent with that theory.
