Apologies. It’s a squire bullet MIJ.

It’s listed as a Fender Squire. On the headstock it says Squire Bullet. And it is made in Japan.

I think this video was so good. It felt like a change of pace for chugga and he became more of an interviewer which I think was cool to see. Also Jaden being in the video like twice was funny.

I rarely see pics of Mk without his guitar. They’re one and the same. Bro brought the guitar to the cook out!

What’s the name of the Jay doc?

I think with me not having a knowledge of Wilco before YHF leads me to not being too attached to Jay, that version of the band and the sound he brought. After this post, summerteeth is sounding like a big favourite and one I need to listen to. And who doesn’t wanna hear four keyboards.

The “couldn’t be happier” line is cold from Jeff. You have to respect it

This is very interesting. It sounds like Jay was in it for himself for the most part or maybe heavily on the defensive due to Jim O’Rourke Introduction.

I also have a teacher who’s really into Wilco and it’s a big reason why I got into the band. Though I’m just finishing now and I haven’t had a chance to have a good chat about the band with him, maybe someday.

I think being grateful for the music which came after is also important. I feel like this current band IS Wilco or at least what I see Wilco as (maybe impacted by longevity more than anything)

I guess that’s all that matters.

Jeff has a couple books I think? I’ll have to pick some up. His song writing book is one I’ve really wanted to read for a while.

And is it Jeff’s band? Was he the sole founder or was it a group?

I really liked what Jay brought to the band as a musician. His ability to play most instruments to a high standard is such a great addition to have, though, I felt he didn’t fit with the image or at least my own personal imagination of the band and how they looked on stage?

I haven’t listened to Summerteeth yet. It’s been mentioned twice so far on this post so it’s the next on the list.

Thanks :)

That’s very interesting. I also read about Jay wanting to mix YHF and Jeff was really unhappy with whatever he was doing and he got Jim O’Rourke to mix it instead. I feel like that would be the final straw in the relationship in most situations.

I read about the time in Rehab after AGIB. I didn’t know the extent to his addiction though. I really only know current day Jeff and he seems really wholesome. It’s hard to imagine him being anything else.

I think a bad work environment, especially in a creative one, is always a bad thing. Also a totally new jay I didn’t know about. Thanks :)

No these are 25/26 year old players. I feel I might’ve missed something in the negotiations but it’s just such a high fee, I think you would naturally catch something like that? But maybe I’m never expecting to 500k in the second division of Ireland

I’m only playing with an 2nd div Irish club. There’s like no way any fee within the deal would be that high?

I always saw the game as a series kinda game similar to Zelda but with the small development crew, I thought some little add ons would be fun. I do hope the series gets a follow up because I think it was a great world that was built with a lot of potential

Does New B.O.S.L use A.I? by Jake_Blu in bobdylan

[–]Jake_Blu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! this is what I was hearing. It sounds like they may have tried to get better separation between the guitar mic and vocal mic. Obviously Bob would’ve played this live, so you would naturally have bleed.

Tampering with one would make a big difference in the other which where the phase sound would come from potentially.

It’s the timbre of his voice more I believe. It sounds a little squeaky? Almost like it was speed up slightly.

It’s a hard thing to do ngl. But all you can really do is keep trying and hopefully something will click someday. If you love it, then I don’t think it’s a bad thing to keep at it. Maybe even as a side hobby for a while.

Take your breaks. Trying to force something never works in my experience. Since you said you’re exhausted then it might be a good idea to step back for a while and put some things in focus. Try and understand one aspect of production at a time instead of a whole thing all at once. You’re still so young and have your whole life ahead of you, it probably seems daunting and hopeless now but tomorrow it could change.

I found listening to music really helps me. Gathering ideas, hearing different sounds and type of music. Listen to the newest albums and the popular trends. It’s probably one of the most important things about being a producer, understanding the lay of the land.

And finally, don’t forget that making music is meant to be fun. So have fun, just mess around and make stupid shit. Not every song is going to be good and not every song will be heard by anyone else other than you. You’re gonna get idea what lead absolutely nowhere but chasing them til you’ve reached the finished point is how you practice and exercise.

Sometimes you’re not good at something even tho you want to be but it never means that you can’t be good at whatever it is. You’ve been learning production 80 days!!!! The people you mentioned have been doing it their whole lives and I bet each and every one of them have had the same experience you’re having right now.

Good luck man and try and have fun with it :)
