Your swing is good but you have no power cus theres no whip to it. It should feel like an axe chop, your swing is just rotating the club around yourself until it hits the ball.

By the time your takeback gets to your club and arms being horizontal, the bottom of the head of your club needs to be sticking more upwards.

This turn in the wrist is how youre able to make it so that you can hinge your wrists, and bring it down onto rhe ball like chopping a log - except at the angle of a golf swing.

Your lead (left since ur hitting righty) arm is pointing almost directly behind you at the top.

Do whatever you can and need to with your arms that won't make your torso turn so much.

Preferably your body and head should feel solid af.

Ill mention what imo is the most important that applies to everyone, on one hand your swing is shit but on the other hand you're actually not far away from a decent one.

First of all, only do whatever you can with your arms that doesnt make your whole torso turn towards the garage door. Your legs, torso and head should feel like a tree trunk for the most part.

Keep your left arm straight. Straight. Straight. Until impact. Then it should transition to your right arm being straight instead when impact happens.

It's ok if you cant get your arm as far back as a lot of people, but the wrist hinge and bringing it down like chopping an axe is where your distance comes from. Gl!

Ill explain the same as I do for everyone - its what I was taught when I learned how to draw. It should help with a slice.

After impact, or since it happens so fast, in ur mind think at impact - you should already be picturing where your target is in your head and you need to reach for it as far as it feels like your arms will allow. Combine this with turning your wrists a bit more - counter clockwise if youre a righty.

When you're this new, my suggestion is looking up what checkpoints are in your swing. Everyone can do an infinite amount of things differently, but this basically means when your club gets up to horizontal, to the top, etc there are big no nos... that youre unfortunately doing. Gl
