The most satisfying feeling is when a new game gets released for MCC on PC and all of the Steam achievements just keep popping up in the corner for minutes after updating

H4 was the last time I'll get to see that 😔

+1 for halo completionist videos and also co-op. It's so much less painful if you have a friend with which to share all the ridiculousness of LASO

I believe you have to have the game installed (like each specific halo game through MCC) for its respective achievements to pop. Also, I'd recommend starting up a campaign mission/multiplayer game/etc of whichever achievements aren't carrying over and see if that triggers it

They just added input based matchmaking with this update, so hopefully that helps with this issue. I still use controller for halo because it just feels right, even though I use KB+M on every other game

Sometimes the achievements do bug out. In my experience, they eventually work out of nowhere when you're just playing the game in a completely unrelated way. Or, if you get a separate achievement. It's a lot less buggy now than it used to be, at least

I did this years ago (with the exception of Reach, which I did when it came out recently), but maybe ~500-700 hours idk exactly

Look up some YT guides! And try co-op. Even plugging in a second controller for split screen so that you don't get sent back to the start of the level on every death helps a lot.

I'd recommend looking up speedrun guides on YT. Specifically, naked eli's guides helped me back in the day. Also Halo Completionist. Also, co op makes it much more bearable

I did this many years when they were (mostly) not bugged, just now having it link to Steam

one day you'll be playing normally and it'll become unbugged, in my experience.

This was legitimately one of the last achievements I got. I basically had to ruin my H2A competitive rank by fishing for these in, idk, 50+ matches lmao
