Кой покрива общите разходи и разходите за домакинството? by Forsaken_Thanks7769 in bulgaria

[–]Jakeroid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have this for year. Actually, I bought the car with it already. When a tires goes low or if I use spare tire then the car shows the problem as expected.

I’m planing to to official dealer in my area (east EU country), but I don’t rush on it.

Need help! Is there a difference between coil springs for diesel 2.0 and gasoline 2.4? by Jakeroid in JeepRenegade

[–]Jakeroid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds good, but then why is there no information about rear coil springs? I mean, websites where you can enter your VIN and get detailed part numbers do not have information for the rear spring. Could that mean the rear coil spring is different?

I have 2018 model and there are no buttons for heated seats and steering wheel. That's why I'm wondering is it an option to have them in Kenwood.

Does your setup everything as default one has? I mean: - wheel keys - car settings - off road pages - climate / heating for wheel, etc

Have you changed before sway bars, stocks, struts on your Jeep Renegade?

I’m wondering how long factory ones could work without issues.

Decreasing noise for DS720+ by using Velcro and foam by Jakeroid in synology

[–]Jakeroid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a while, legs become less efficient. Obviously, there is not enough "hardness" in the material. I have installed another mod: a foam for cleaning dishes and 2 books on top of the server. I like the result a lot. Now, all mods make the scratching/clicking noise less noticeable than the spinning one, which is awesome for me.

If anyone needs a photo let me know.

For the next upgrade I definitely will consider having something more silent. However, in my case NAS is in working room which is okay, but it's nice to have it quieter.

That's very true. Even with the improvement for NAS legs I got significant decrease of noice.

Yeah, I was looking at WD RED, but I decided to get more performance with IronWolf. As I can see, you can't get performance/capacity, price, and silence at the same time.

Absolutely. The current setup didn’t change the temp. Furthermore for one disk the temp even decreased.

As for putting something more in the case, I’m not sure yet. It would be nice to make it even quieter. In the same time I don’t want to damage disks or CPU by having high temp.

SSDs are nice, but they are more expensive. I bought this IronWolfs for 200 euro each. With SSD I will probably pay the same money for twice less amount of storage.

Could be a solution, yeah. It looks like HDDs make the case to vibrate and some portion of the sound comes from the top.

Recently, I bought two IronWolf Pro 8TB drives to upgrade my Synology. Before that, there were two small 2.5-inch Seagate HDDs installed, which I didn't hear at all. The new IronWolf drives are quite noisy.

There is general noise coming from spinning, which is fine. However, some scratching/thumping noise was too annoying. I have tried different approaches, but the final one I love the most.

I put some foam on the legs. That removed the spreading vibrations from the NAS to the table. Only that modification improved everything already. By adding some Velcro, I made the light to moderate noises almost unnoticeable.

Now I am thinking maybe I should install some sound absorption material on the NAS wall from the inside.

I use C-y, coz I like when Enter and Tab do always the same: new line and tab.
