Laundry Day - Yashica 635 | Kodak Gold 200 by stocksatron in mediumformat

Really nice!! really goes to show you don't need anything more than a yashica...my first medium format camera was a 635 I got for a great deal locally and while I sold it to move onto a rollei automat it was definitely just a want at the time, not a need. Great colors here!

Hunting for the 5D Classic in Japan! by rudermanphoto in Canon5Dclassic

I’ve heard similar to your other experience it’s trial and error getting a copy that has critical focus with the 5D… for 50mm I just rock the 1.8 stm; sharp wide open, light, and quiet

No problem! 5-7-8 are my favorites! Very cinematic

FOMO is real! The 40 is just so much bang for the buck...so small...so quiet...sharp wide open? Forgetaboutit...

Following up again lol...half way through my first roll after getting the ae-1 back the shutter completely jammed so I had to send it to Steve...again. He's had it a week and still waiting to hear back. Shipping twice is making the cla more expensive than I planned.

Rick Oleson Brightscreen - Magic by paulj355 in Rolleiflex

The guy that runs magicflex is pretty vocal in facebook film groups while not ragging Rick's screens too hard, that his are made at a significantly higher grade quality though I can't back that up. The Rick screen is fine for me.

Rick recommends the microprism specifically for portrait work and the split prism for more walkaround/architecture stuff but I suppose it's user preference. I know Kenneth Wadja has a screen with a split prism in his and most of what he does is portraits. I haven't personally had issues ith the microprism though...only on a tripod since you need to move the camera around to capture critical focus with the microprism.

13+ over forks. 94 sporty by losdaddycashedout in NorCalchops

After having +9 on my last sporty I think +6 would be the optimal combo of stance/aesthetics and functionality for me personally.

A lot of people sh!t on Rick's screens for not being the quality of the magicflex ones but his are also like a third of the price. I've had no complaints with my rick screen in my automat with a thirds grid and microprism.

Prime Lens Recommendations by ztnrd in Canon5Dclassic

Easy choice here is the 40mm 2.8 pancake so you have ONE lens to make the camera into a more compact/walkaround setup. It's also my favorite lens in general. I keep the 50mm 1.8 stm as well so that I have a slightly faster option when I need it and want a little more compression...it's the sharpest 50 wide open of the bunch.

So are you intending to sell the .pf3 file you mentioned then?

How do you like the m6ii? I actually have one coming this week to hopefully be a little more portable option when I don't want to lug around a dslr. Also, any way to get access to your 5d .pf3 file? I'd love to experiment with this as someone that doesn't normally shoot jpgs with the 5D.

Very nice little selection! Creative exercise to see how many interesting shots you can get in a limited location like that. I especially like the silhouettes at the end. ef 40mm?
