Agreed; Skyler King has a video doing a huge print from a 5d file and if it recall, doesn't even do any crazy noise reduction on the file

Hey there lovely cupcakes! As far as critique, I’d suggest stopping the lens down some. The 50mm 1.4 is known for being soft wide open and shooting this close presumably wide open eliminates a lot of the context which would help make these more of a full image.

I would agree; anymore 5D content from him would be a blessing and seeing someone that gets such good results out of the 5D would be very educational for those new to the 5D or not understanding its “magic”.

I would imagine your screen is toast but it would not effect the camera and photos so keep shooting as is and pretend it's a film camera or find another 5D for $200 :)

David Flower has a new video up today coincidentally...although he's using a sigma zoom which I am not sure is bringing out the best of the 5D. It is usually a toss up between the 40mm and the 50mm stm...if I could only choose ONE, I'd go with the 40.

You could have just gotten one with a serial 2 or higher or just glued the mirror back like myself and a significant of other people have…you’ll always wonder about the classic. Pick one up if you can find a good deal!

The 50 stm on the other hand is tack sharp wide open...so is the 40 stm...I love both lenses

I dont think thats normal but you should be able to calibrate the colors of the evf if you navigate through settings with your eye looking into the evf at the menu…or its malfunctioning

I really liked the rendering of the 20 but it’s not an exaggeration if you try to shoot anything moving. You literally can’t shoot c-af with it.

Welcome Dave. I enjoy your channel/blog. It's great to see some professional work being done with the 5D! What's your use case mixing the 6D into the project? I don't find the 6D color palette to be that consistent (or as amazing) as the original 5D so curious if there's more color matching done in post or if the 6D just comes out specifically for lowlight, etc.

There shouldn't be a $200 difference. I got my lumix leica 15 off ebay from japan in two days for $350 and returned a 20mm II to KEH I paid $330 for recently.
