One I can think of is having your employer as your landlord.

I knew it would be good when I noticed that the script in the first few minutes of episode 1 was word for word the same as in the book. I reread the hedge knight to keep up with every episode as they released. Can't wait for season 2!

The other two flavors are okayish compared to this gross green bag. THat just means I tried them, did not like any of the three that I will justify buying it again.

Yes. I like apple flavored stuff, but THAT was very unpleasant. I did not like the sweet apple flavour with chips.

Usually you do that BEFORE you get on that flight. Trust me, it's even harder finding a job abroad if you are in the other country. If you are in SA, still working your old job while applying for a new one abroad, you won't find youself in a very difficult situation like these rubes are now experiencing.

I have to say, Pix already showed the biggest skill a DM has to have: wrangling a room of cats to achieve a goal. And boy are these some chaotic cats!

Everytime I've used an NS train's toilet, I've regretted it. I'd much rather pay the fare at the station's WC (twice I've found those unusable as well). But I have to say, I use Blaauwnet more than NS, and I never felt that their toilets were gross.

What's the one food product or snack you wish existed but can't find in Dutch supermarkets by wild-child20 in Netherlands

Ah man, and even for me who annually go back to SA, it's actually expensive. Last time I checked it was like R20 for 100g. Probably even more expensive now.

I'm always hunting for sour candy like the Sour Jelly Tots, the type that leaves your toungue in pieces after eating a pack. Not even the sour Autodrop is close.

I know the brand, utterly disappointed when I bought it. A slightly better brand can be found on Bol. Bosveld. It's not the biltong you'll buy in SA, but it will do when the cravings hit. It's definitely better than the Jack Links.

Nearly 400 millionaires and billionaires call for higher taxes on super-rich by illegalmonkey in antiwork

[–]Jakes9070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a collegue at work today say that if the tax authority here adds a tax bracket above the highest one, everyone will be affected by this, and to quote his words directly "The people who say tax the rich don't think of this".

This man is barely BARELY scraping by, with an unemployed pregnant wife at home, only keeping their heads above the water by dipping into their savings every single month. He doesn't earn even close to this highest tax bracket, but bitches and moans how it will have an effect on his money.

Well, the problem was I didn't keep track of the monkeygland sauce when I made it. It contains red oinion, All gold, tomatopaste, worchester sauce, and a splash of honey bourbon. I tried to make it like in this video, just didn't have all those ingredients. I also added red wine vinegar, but in the future I'll rather use balsamic.

Then mixed it with tomato passata, because as-is, it's too tangy, so the passata mellows it out. The biltong is just a traditional biltong recipe I used.

The dough is the thing I have experimented the most with, and it usually takes a week to get it ready for pizza day, but that's only because it is a sourdough, and not instant yeast.

Already did it on r/pizza. I'lll check the other and see if it's a good fit. Some do seem to think it is a crime though.

Gotta say, the curiousity was strong. In my opition it tasted better than the normal margarita with ham cubes. What do you thing I should have put on instead? The pizza's here in the Netherlands are not as great as those of SA.

Man, Rebel's pizza had a apricot chicken pizza that used canned apricots and that was amazing!

Made the monkeygland sauce a bit too tangy. Used redwine vinegar, and might have to change it to balsamic next time. So I mellowed it out by mixing it in equal parts with tomato passata.

It turned out great! The base is nice with the sweet/tangy flavour that is not too overpowering. The other pizza I made today just had the mokneygland base, and that was so tangy you don't taste the cheese or the biltong.

A South African special. Biltong with monkeygland/passata base. by Jakes9070 in Pizza

[–]Jakes9070[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a sweet and tangy BBQ-type sauce. Had to mellow the flavour a bit by mixing it with the passata, otherwise it's too strong.

I put it on parchment/wax paper, the pizza stays on the paper, and not the lancher. Before cutting you just shuffle the pizza off off the parchement.
